FatTony (100), Augusta, Georgia, USA Apr 10, 2008 12 ounce bottle- pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a weak stark white head. Aroma was slightly rancid, and the taste flat and doughy with a slight hint of honey. See ol’ Sam Adams for a proper hefeweizen. Won’t buy this one again.
Dacrza (136), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Jul 22, 2008 Hazy, unfiltered dark orange-yellow body... minimal effervescence.... generous head gives way to thin, white eighth-inch head, chalk-like without tracings... carbonation is fizzy in an active, respectful manner... balanced in mouthfeel from start to finish, with multiple glasses an easy proposition...quite a mix of citrus and clove: the yeast is balanced nicely with malts... overall, a solid hefe: the results (a heat-curtailing drink with some complexity for thought) speaks as clearly as any criticism I could write... I seem to be a minority on the Flying Dog leash...is the artwork causing adverse reactions from the internet beer crowd, or am I way off on them? craftycarl21 (120), USA Jul 21, 2008 pours a semi-opague dark gold with almost no head, high carbonation. aroma of yeast, spice, clove, banana, and lemon. Flavor is mostly yeast and banana- refereshing, but certainly not a top hefeweizen. SuperDave70 (652), Arizona, USA Jul 21, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow color with a medium foamy head. Light spice, yeast, grain and citrus aroma. Grainy yeast flavor with a touch of lemon and spice. Refreshing, though not great. The_Captain (251), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 21, 2008 On Tap in MD Brewery- Cloudy yellow gold pour with small foam head. Spice and yeast with hints of cloves. Some citrus notes and a vanilla undertone on the pallet. An earthy wheat quality, a good drinker but not my style. Bragesnak (974), Aarhus, Denmark Jul 17, 2008 DØE meeting, Aarhus Syd. DK.
