Pours amber with a good head, that finishes fairly quickly. Little smell ( though my nose is a little stuffy). Tastes of nutty roasted malt and toffee. Malty at first but quickly covered by the bitterness. Decent beer, but feels a lot like most of flying dog’s beers.

2014-01-25. Crisp dark amber body with a small beige head. Aroma is sweetly malty, lightly fruity caramel malt. Flavour is similar, caramel malt, light alcoho character. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable. Bottle shared by DuctTape

Bottle from Provenance Wines. Clear amber/rose body with a thin off-white head. Light carbonation. Faint lacing marks. Aroma of toffee, lightly roasted malt and stroopwafel. Sweet, slightly spicy flavour - wood, prunes, caramel and nuts. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A nice warming ale.

Bottle from St Albans Beer: Shop. Poured a clear amber with a thin, off-white head. Malty aroma with notes of caramel and coriander. Initial flavours of burnt sugar, banana and nutty malts. Chewy malt and cereal on the palate with some sweet toffee. Rather nice winter warmer.

demitriustown (1067) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - JAN 26, 2014
12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice malt base, toffee, and a bright grassy hop note in the backing. Appearance is a clear dark amber to almost reddish hue with a medium off white head that lingers. Taste is quite nice with a nicely balanced maltiness, lightly spiced, rounding out with a nice hop backing. Palate is lightly sweet, medium to low carbonation and covers up the alcohol very well. Overall, Very well balanced beer. Cheers!

Zabraklo tu gestosci aby moc mogla sie ukryc. Rubinowo brazowe piwo ze srednia piana i niezbyt trwala. Jako zimowe piwo nie polecam

(Bottle) Now labeled as "K-9 Winter Ale". Pours a clear, light-amber complexion. Minimal lacing. Rich malty flavor with some British bitterness. Not bad nor a standout from this brewer.
