Pours transparent copper with almost no head. Nose is mostly bread. I expected more spice for a winter beer but it just isn’t there. If I has to say there was a spice I would say maybe a hint of cloves. Flavor is pretty good balance of sweet and bitter. Mouthfeel is thin and the flavor ends as soon as the beer clears the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige foam. Aromas are chocolate and fudge with nutty coffee and raisins. Earthy with apple and spices. Flavours are malty chocolate with dark chocolate and citrus bitterness. Apple with marzipan alcohol and spices. Plummy red wine with a dry finish. Pretty good.

Mah che mappazzone, confesso che mi aspettavo qualcosa di diverso da Flying Dog, produttore che ogni giorno penso di aver sopravvalutato.

12oz bottle. Clear orange red / amber color, minimal light khaki head. Moderate but smooth carbonation, light dryness. Cinnamon / nutmeg spice to the malts. Nice light sweet bitter taste, a hint of alcohol. Decent christmas ale... But again, not particularly interesting or unique

Not at all what I expected. Average beer with a bad aftertaste. The spices that they put inside was not the ones I want in my beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear bronze body with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, raspberries and hints of raisins and bubble gum. A bit phenolic, but nice. Taste is mellow almonds and caramel tones with hints of raspberries and dark malts. Medium carbonation. OK, but not fantastic.

Dark on pour, a bit of light fruit in the aroma. Flavor is rich and lots of thick flavors. nice beer here.

erickok (1086) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - DEC 12, 2011
Dark copper with small off white head. Aroma is very sweaty, cheesy and some light pear and cherry. Not as rich as expected. Taste is sweet with clear cherry/raspberry, flowing into a more balanced taste with some esters. Could have used more carbonation. In one way it’s an original smelling and tasting beer, but I can’t seem to like it very much.
