12oz bottle into snifter glass. Clear dark amber with very minimal white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, some fruit and very malty. Medium body with finishing bitterness. Smooth with some alcohol bite. Good.

A see through brown with subtle amounts of head or lace. Aroma is heavy caramel malt, pine/spice and chocolate. Flavor is mild sweet by the cocoa, still heavy oaky malt and some spice. Pretty dang good. Thank you FD, I was beginning to lose hope. An ESA from FD. Great stuff.

Deep mahogany beer with a medium foamy light tan head. Somewhat underwhelming nose of apple cider, red wine vinegar, and salted caramel--nuanced, but too faint. Flavor is on the mild side too with some caramel flavors followed by a bit of sour and finally light hop bitterness. Decent, but the flavor profile isn’t among my favorites.

Heavy on the malt. Light spice like nutmeg but not in your face. Medium bitter finish. Amber pour with OK head and lacing. Bottle thanks to roomie.

@ Havregatan 141106. Bottle (355 ml) from Systembolaget (28:-). Malty and fruity with caramely and light spicy notes, hints of cherries and dried fruits, sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is long, dry, bitter and fruity.

Flaska från SB. Mörkt brun med lite ljust skum. Kryddig doft med inslag av torkad frukt och kanel. Tunn kropp med genomslag av sprit och mycket beska.

Deep amber in colour. Very sweet aroma of caramel, candy sugar, dried fruits and nuts. Taste: caramel and maltiness countered by medium bitterness. Good beer.

330ml bottle served in a chalice. A: Pours a clear deep amber to chestnut (copper) color forming a medium beige and bubbled head. Good retention and a lot of lacings left in the glass S: Sweet in the nose. Caramel malts, candy sugar, basically. Sweet and refreshing. Reminds a English Bitter. End is hoppy and bitter. Grassy earthy hops T: Follows the nose: Sweet upfront. Notes of caramel malts, candy sugar, roasted malts and hops. End is grassy and hoppy. Refreshing M: Medium body and carbonation. A bit molasses. No alcohol can be felt despite the reasonable 7.4% ABV O: Good drinkability. A bit sweet but refreshing and tasty beer [ BA Review @ 11/21/2010 ]

Bottled ; IN an Orval goblet ...nose is like slices of malt covered in alcohol -with nuts ..and dried fruit (raisin prune )some grapey chocolate ...weird wet paint notes . resemblance with a young Fullers Vintage bottle somewhat . murky brown with very little head . certainly is somewhat English in character profile - . its like a fruit cake covered in figs or something ,caramel ,booze , butter , nuts ,exactly what i visualize when i swill this
.On the palate nice unity between roast and richness ..nutty cake textures and accents mesh well . very mild floral bitterness but its subtle . fucken smooth stuff ; this agress with my UK palate schooling . -
