3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice and spicy was the first thought that came to my mind. Dark amber color with very little aroma (maybe its homemade the jalapeno-cheese bread I just had) Definite malt and spice with accented alcoholic taste followed by a very (very) mild hop finish. Pretty easy to drink compared to most winter brews.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma-delicate, roasted apple and nuts, cinnamon
Appearance-rich caramel orange, average foam, CO2 ok
Taste-classic Doppelbock, roasted not smoked, could be a session beer if your head is strong :-)
Palate-nice bitterness with more share of hops than alcohol, slightly better than Paulaner Salvator
Overall-a good beer but not for me since I can buy Paulaner Salvator almost 8 times cheaper. 355 ml bottle, Drinks of the world Zurich.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg, dark brown, toasted malt nose, sweet with burnt caramel, a touch of marmalade, earthy hops but overwhelmed by caramel. A bit too sweet even for a winterbock.

Backlog. One of the standard winter-seasonals that show up every year, never really made an impact with me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark yet clear amber pour with massive tan head. Lovely malty smell with a hint of caramel. Sweet caramel and spices for first taste to finish off pretty hoppy. Medium bodied and an above average carbonation leaving a sticky feeling on the tongue. Liked it!!

$1.85 Bottle, Wine Warehouse, CHO.
Pours brownish amber with a large beige head. Smells of leaves, malt, and spice. Tastes of spice, bubblegum, malt... and something else. Don’t know what it is. Odd.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber with a good head, that finishes fairly quickly. Little smell ( though my nose is a little stuffy). Tastes of nutty roasted malt and toffee. Malty at first but quickly covered by the bitterness. Decent beer, but feels a lot like most of flying dog’s beers.
