Not bad, but there are better Winter Warmers out there.
Apperance was nice, poured a reddish brown with a figer or so of foam. The head lasted for some time. Looked tasty
Aroma, ale yeast was present, along with some fruit, cherry and current.
Initially the taste is fruity with the cherry and current flavors coming through, a nice balanced hop flavor is clear throughout the taste (I would assume Northern Brewer or Bullion hops). The balance of the initial flavors is overshawdowed on the back in by strong ale yeast flavors.
Mouthfeel is normal, and the drinkability is somewhat lower than expected.
Avery Old Jubilation is a very similar beer in flavor, but much better in my opinion.

Homebrew taste and smell initially then u get the alcohol burn. Your burps burn a little too... Ok for a cold cold day in the wilderness by the fire

Keg @ Sedona. The pour’s deep brown with a small head. Sort of toasty on the nose. A touch of vinous red berry skin. Toffee. The taste is similar. Hot toffee, cherry skin. Cocoa. Mildly tangy on the finish. Full, soft body. Fine carbonation. Good.

Pours a clear ruby brown with a light tan head. Aroma of cinnamon, syrup and spice. Taste is dark cherry sweet with cinnamon. It’s also quickly replaced by a firm, but not hoppy bitterness. This bitterness nicely balances the malt sweetness for a clean finish, which masks the ABV and makes it very drinkable for a Winter Special ale.

355ml bottle, pours clear amber with a medium sized creamy tan head with good retention. Aroma of apricots and caramel. Taste of apricots, caramel, maple syrup and a hint of spices. Light sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation. An okay English Strong Ale, but not as spicy as you would expect from a Winter Ale.

couleur ambrée, nez un peu animal, viande brûlée, beaucoup de caramel, un peu de foin. Bouche aqueuse, caramel, sucre, toujours un peu brûlé, céréales. Final sèche, pneu brûlé. Pas une réussite.

11/03/13 Bottle. Cherry and spice scent with a touch of alcohol. Pretty deep mahogany appearance with a decent head. Slightly thinner feel than I expected. Big grainy flavor up front to some spice, cinnamon, an a bitter touch on the finish. Overall, I'm not a huge fan.
