Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Apr 22, 2009 Poured out of a 7oz bottle clear gold with thin off white head. The aroma is pretty full with apples mixing with honey, spice, prunes and raisins. The taste is much the same with sweet malts and candi sugar to go along with apples, prunes, a touch of black pepper, spices and yeast. It ends sweet with lots of apple, honey and a bit of yeast lingering into the after taste. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Apr 22, 2009 Lightly foggy amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is yeast, pretty malty, light alcohol. Taste is very light, light corriander, light alcohol, very light in general and mild. Seems much more like a Belgian Ale then a Tripel. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 17, 2009 courtesy of ibrew2or3
pours golden, thin white head.
Aroma, sweet, grainy, yeasty.
Taste, thick mouthfeel, alcohol, fruity, light malt profile with some hops and esters. Medium body, some peach like fruits coupled with candi sugar.
Feels weak for a trippel. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Apr 16, 2009 Thanks retorp for the share. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is yeast, alcohol, sugar, pepper, apple, and caramel. Flavor is apple, yeast, and pepper. Light bodied with lingering yeast and pepper in the finish. djd07 (724), Houston, Texas, USA Apr 16, 2009 7 oz. bottle from the 10 pack mixer. Pours a hazy yellow golden with a small white head that quickly diminishes quickly. The aroma is clove, banana, coriander and yeast. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. Thin mouthfeel with a bitter citrus taste with apple and banana. A decent abbey tripel from Flying Dog. blindeyedbetty (148), Arlington, Virginia, USA Apr 13, 2009 12 oz. bottle pours a cloudy marigold-ish yellow-orange with a foamy off white head which leaves no lacing as it dissipates. Aroma is wheat, yeast and citrus. Front palate is something sour and otherwise like I’ve never tasted (what is it?) with a malty middle and yeasty finish. I don’t think I care for this style as a whole. AndyReynolds (280), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Apr 10, 2009 Aroma is yeast and wheat with notes of citrus, some sort of spice, and banana. The taste surprised me with being refreshing. I am not a huge fan of a Tripel in the first place, but I found this beer to be ok. ericandersnavy (1039), crossroads, Texas, USA Apr 7, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. poured gold with a white head. aroma of citrus, orange, and some spice. flavor of spices, citrus, and slight banana. light body and high carbonation. this was ok but not great.
