Sep 15, 2008 Sampled at EBF2008. Pours a clear golden yellow beer with an offwhite head. Has the typical aroma of Orval/Brett, some bubblegum. The flavor is sweet and malty. Bold mouthfeel and an average/good beer.

Sep 14, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy to cloudy orange with a lacing white head. Yeasty and mild estery aroma. Flavour is sweet fruity and yeasty. Lingering fruity and yeasty finish. Mellow and creamy yeasty and sweet finish.

Sep 13, 2008 Aroma is malty, spicy, notes of orange peel. Yellow/amber color, decent amount of carbonation. Flavor is fruity, peppery, spicy. The finish was malty, and strong on the alcohol, providing a slight warming. Good beer overall, on the low end for a tripel. Special note: This was part of a cool 4 pack of Flying Dog which had the Imperial Porter, the Barley Wine, the Double Dog and this beer.

Sep 13, 2008 (Bottled) Slightly hazy golden with a very small head. Very grainy, pale-honey-malty, sweetish aroma with pear and diacetyl hints. Grainy maltiness with pear fruitiness, moderate acidity, and quite evident alcohol. Medium body, medium carbonation. Not a very good try for a tripel.

Sep 13, 2008 12oz. pours a hazy golden orange with a thin white head. aroma is fruit, candy sugars, and a hint of spice. mouthful is full of spicy coriander and pepper. finish is bitter and dry. it would be nice if the fruit in the aroma would come out in the flavor...

Sep 12, 2008 Slightly cloudy orange amber. Fizzy with a thin head. Fruity aroma - apples, citrus, banana, and spice over malty base. Flavor is fruit and spice, followed by a strong malty presence. Ends dry and bitter, with a notable hoppiness. Fizzy, sticky (but somewhat thin) mouthfeel. Not bad, but a little out of balance.

Sep 12, 2008 Pours a pale very clear pale gold with a thin fizzy whie head. The nose is grainy, slightly sweet, some grassy hops, . The flavor is pretty unimpressive, grainy, sweet, some alcohol, lightl Belgian earthiness. The palate is grainy and boozy. As expected.
