The hops are nice, the semi-syrupy mouthfeel is good, and there is some interaction of tartness/ sweetness/ bitterniess but there is hardly any nose, and ultimately it is kind of flat and tired overall--no zest, no zoom (and no head either).

Bottle, apple juice in appearance. No real head. Sweet champagne aroma and flavors, slight metallic and clean finish. Tripels are not my style, so I’m neither terribly impressed nor terribly disappointed.

Nice hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, curacao and a tiny bit of banana. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malty flavour with yeast qualities and a potent sweetness riding on top of the other flavours. Aftertaste long and wheatie - some yeast as well. Overall, a decent beer, not a great trip, but still worth trying if you can find this! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Kybecca in Fredericksburg, Virginia on 31-May-2008, sampled on 20-August-2008 at home in Washington, D.C.

Gold with a white head. Delectable sweet aroma doesn’t quite carry its promise into the taste, which is malty and spicy with a hint of cognac, but which just doesn’t quite seem to have the required body. A little dryness at the end. It’s good but not great.

Bottle. After being extremely impressed by Gonzo this one let me down. Clear golden with a pathetic head. This resembled a bad lager. Aroma was very light malt, grassy, and very weak. Flavor is simply sweet without anything else. Easily drinkable, but why when it lacks so much.

Bottle. Aroma of grassy herbs, herbal citrus. Flavor spicy with grassy hops and a continuing herbal quality. Pretty good beer. I went in with low expectations but am now a bit surprised to see it clock in at a mere 3.1.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. Aroma of spices, yeast, toffee and malt. Taste is semi-sweet and spicy with a hint of bread dough on the tongue. Slight metallic aftertaste. The alcohol is well hidden and has a slight bitter finish.

Pours hazy orange with no head. Aroma is sugar and spice. Taste is very sweet with tons of candied sugar. Mild citrus notes. Medium mouthfeel. Not much going on here.
