Nice golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind again.Malty floaral aroma with some hints of citrus and hops. The flavor was quite good with a mild malty sweet side in the beginning then a change to a hoppy taste in the middle and then here comes the alcohol. The alcohol comes in kind of strong in the end with a nice burn but hardly disguised in anyway. It then finishes up with some mild hop bitterness.Overall it starts out quite smooth and finishes up kind of harsh with the way the alcohol and hops come on so clummsily. Not a brew i care to engage with again but it does have a good start.

Backlog rating 12-21-2008 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a small head with poor retention, very bubbly carbonation, fair amount of lacing, mostly transparent/slightly hazy body, and a golden hue. The Aroma is sweet, fruity and has some spicy notes. The Taste is fruity, alcohol, spicy, and slightly metallic. The Palate is semi-sharp along with a warming alcohol effect. This is a medium bodied Abbey Tripel. Overall, this is a not a good representation of this beer’s style as it was not malty tasting enough.

Had this one a while ago, pours a very light brown, not much aroma, and the taste leaves something more to be desired. Nothing amazing

Good beer, but something is missing. Good scent but a little hidden taste. The aftertaste is decent good.

This was OK. Poured a dark yellow, clear, nicely carbonated. Head was pretty but disappeared. Aroma was very faint. Flavor was of sweet malt and mouth feel was good. After taste was nice. An Average Tripel.

Bottle. Poured a clear light orange color. The head was off white and dissipated quickly to a thin film. Smelled of pineapple, honey, pale malt, and a splash of alcohol. Medium bodied. Slightly sweet up front with delicate bitterness at the end. Subdued pineapple, graham cracker, and noble hop flavors.

Bottle @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Solid Belgian style trippel. Bit too much on the sweet side and strong taste of alcohol, pretty good.

Bottle (7 oz./207ml). Vintage 2008. From a discounted 8-pack of four Flying Dog high-gravity beers. Super sweet aroma, honey and sugar. Honey color, cloudy, almost no head. Dull, flat sweetness, mid palate is more or less balanced. Goes nowhere. Mild aftertaste. Medium body. Well, it is reminiscent of a tripel.

Bottled, aged 3.5yrs, 355ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Gold with white head. Surprisingly, quite a gentle beer, smooth, honeyed sweetness, a touch of spiciness, fully developed. A pretty decent copy of an Abbey Tripel which is not easy from outside, the yeast does seem to be doing the job. Decent.

Bottled @ Just Beer Assocaiton. Bien forte comme bière, style belge, mais un peu trop aigre/amère
