Nice golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind again.Malty floaral aroma with some hints of citrus and hops. The flavor was quite good with a mild malty sweet side in the beginning then a change to a hoppy taste in the middle and then here comes the alcohol. The alcohol comes in kind of strong in the end with a nice burn but hardly disguised in anyway. It then finishes up with some mild hop bitterness.Overall it starts out quite smooth and finishes up kind of harsh with the way the alcohol and hops come on so clummsily. Not a brew i care to engage with again but it does have a good start.

33cl Bottle from my beer cellar vintage 2009. Clear golden pour. Thin white head. Fruity triple. Pretty nice.

Bottle. I actually found a 2008 bottle of this on the shelf last week. Should be interesting. Pours a very cloudy orange color with a small head that sits nicely and collects to a ring eventually. Aroma is a bit funky but still pretty nice. Apricots, sweet Belgian candi sugar, flowers, wet cardboard, and honey. Taste has definitely faded but not terrible. Noticeable oxidation takes away from the decent tropical fruit, flowers and honey flavor. Finishes dry and spicy with some lingering honey. This was way better than I expected it to be. I expected it to be undrinkable at this point.

Not a very good tripel, it’s a little flat and lacks taste. I think it’s because of the pilsner malt they used.

Backlog rating 12-21-2008 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a small head with poor retention, very bubbly carbonation, fair amount of lacing, mostly transparent/slightly hazy body, and a golden hue. The Aroma is sweet, fruity and has some spicy notes. The Taste is fruity, alcohol, spicy, and slightly metallic. The Palate is semi-sharp along with a warming alcohol effect. This is a medium bodied Abbey Tripel. Overall, this is a not a good representation of this beer’s style as it was not malty tasting enough.

Had this one a while ago, pours a very light brown, not much aroma, and the taste leaves something more to be desired. Nothing amazing

Good beer, but something is missing. Good scent but a little hidden taste. The aftertaste is decent good.

33 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 21.01.2011
Aroma has citrus, some yeasty and floral notes. Flavour has citrus, some apricot, floral notes and hints of nettles. Quite dull.
