Cobra (1033), In the snake pit, Maryland, USA Jun 1, 2008 Not a winner. 12 oz. brown bottle.
No freshness date seen. Poured out a clear yellow / orangish color, with no head at all. Aromas are weak overall, nothing stands out. Flavors are of sugar mostly, with a little Belgian yeast flavor. Thin mouthfeel, thinner body.
Watery and weak. Released way before it was ready, IMHO.

Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 7, 2008 Nice yellow-gold hue. Full mouthfeel. Solid malt base with honey-like flavors on top of light grains. Flowery, spicy aromas, with notes of clove and white pepper. Hints of mead and white wine in the finish. Dryish, warming aftertaste with a pinch of bitterness to cleave off the sweetness. Pleasant. asheft (951), Marburg, Germany Oct 5, 2008 [bottle at EBF 2008]
Aroma is like filtered apple juice (from concentrate) with some jalapeno, yeast, and a touch of base malt. Bright gold with a white ring. Nice spicy musty Belgian tripel with not too much sugar. Almost witbier herbal notes: apples and oranges and coriander and parsley. Sweetness is almost balanced by an herbal and woody bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation, sweet and bitter finish.
