3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black with no head. Vague traces of milk-chocolate coloured foam around the edge of the glass. Aroma of really nice roasted malt, smoke, coffee, some dark fruit. Taste is light sweet, well balanced. The texture is oily, though a little bit thin, with low carbonation, Pretty good, though I wish there was a bit of a head.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Corpo rotondo e alcol ben mascherato.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Color - Black. Dark brown foam, in first time huge, then decrease to nice sheepskin and dissapear to thin layer. Intense, excellent aroma - roasty malts, raisins, cherry liqueur, some vanilla, a bit chocolate and coffee. Taste complex. Sweet with a smooth bitter finish. Coffee, roasty malts, black malts, cherry liqueur, fruits in liqueur, dark chocolate, raisins - I love this kind of taste. Very velvet, smooth and oily. Long warming finish. Alcohol hidden. Heavy but very drinkable. Great beer.

Completly dark and black body. Head is dark brown, moderate, but reduces quickly. Weak aroma, but mostly coffee, roasted malt and some cherries. Alcohol aroma is noticeable. Tastes sweet overall. Strong coffee taste, roasted malts with some cherries. Little bitter aftertaste. Nice and pleasant warming finish. It’s good, but heavy taste. Medium carbonation.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 355 ml, poured into a snifter at home. ABV 8.9%
Pitch black colour, absorbing all light when hold against it, like a black hole. Something less than two fingers of dark, brown head, with good density and good retention. After it collapsed, a thick lime remained around the glass and foam islands on the surface.
Tons of chocolate up front, with lots of roasted malts and more coffee coming from the back.
Taste of dark malts, faint olive pits, chocolate. Finishes with lots of coffee, some vanilla and hints of the alcohol.
Thick body, as carbonated as it should be, sticky palate. Pleasant warmth coming from the alcohol.
Overall a great beer, tried hard to contain myself and just sip it slowly.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from De Molen Beershop.
Almost black with a small brown head that rests down to a small ring.
Aroma has cold coffee, chocolate, soy sauce/umami and vanilla.
Taste has dry chocolate, roasted malt, very faint coffee sweet notes and some raisin at the end.
Smooth mouth feel, a bit thin bodied for an imperial stout imo, low carbonation.
Dry roasted after taste.
Perhaps I had too much expectation on this beer, perhaps it has a bit of age to it (I cant find a date on it) as there’s not a lot of coffee at all in the taste.
