4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Black appearance with a beige head. Aroma is of a not too strong coffee. Taste is much stronger! Hints of chocolate and vanilla sweetness. You certainly can taste the percentage in this one. One to be enjoyed at room temperature.

Couleur noire. Super parfum de café et cacao, un peu grillés. Peu de pétillance, huileuse. Gout de café, un peu sucré. Fin courte , mais super bonne bière!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Thanks, Jeff. Oily & mostly black with a mild shade of brown near the top; fluffy, tan head foams up slowly on tap & takes its time receding. Aroma is full of deep, oily, roasted coffee beans; woody with moderately ashy undertones. Almost imagine Bourbon County Coffee without the bourbon, oak, & robustness. Smells like similar coffee beans, though. Taste is lighter in the coffee department with more roast & sweetness coming out. A nice bitter snap from the roast with mid char, leading into more coffee beans & some dark cocoa beans. A little creamy sweetness in the final moments. A pretty good, fairly robust coffee stout. One of Flying Dog’s better offerings.

Thanks Jeff. Pours a dark dark brown with a really nice dark brown thick head. A big coffee bean and burnt coffee aroma. A nice fresh feel. Clean. A nice coffee taste that is nice and smooth. A bit of chocolate comes out in the end. Good stuff.

10oz pour at Triangle Wine. Good aroma. Sweet. Roasted malt, makes me think banana, chocolate. Dark orangy brown color. . Good head that faded to a ring. Not much lacing. Sweet flavor. Heavy body. Creamy oily mouthfeel. Sweet finish. It’s good. Not fully grabbing my attention. Aroma is just a tad dull, I think it’s the part factor. Not much in the way of coffee for me. More of the part And chocolate. Fair to middlin.

12oz bottle from Tasty Beverage in Raleigh. Black pour, zero visibility with mostly diminishing dark brown head. Milk chocolate, dark malt, dark fruit, alcohol, more coffee aroma as it warms. Heavy bitter malt & chocolate up front (coffee as it warms), with a long medium milk chocolate finish. More alcohol on the finish as it warms. I also detected some smoke on the aroma and taste. I liked this quite a bit.
