3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2013 Very dark pour with a tiny head. Powerful coffee and chocolate flavor, very sweet to my palate. Interestingly smooth mouthfeel. Sweetness buries the high alcohol, perhaps a good example of this style but not to my preference.
Would I drink again? not likely.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours out of the bottle in a unclear dark, black colour with almost no head and medium-smooth body. Nose of chocolate, raisins and malt. Taste of milk chocolate, basement, nuts, light sweetened cappuccino, cacao powder and rum. Easy and nice to drink but I must admit that I’m not really impressed. Goes down nice and smooth but it just ain’t a taste explosion in any way. Solid one.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with McTapps. Very easy going, full of coffee aromas and a very slight sourness. Wondered how drinkable it was with that high abv. Not special but a very well brewed one. To recommend.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Liquorice black, thin, quickly disappating tan head, reduces to a residue on the top off the liquid. Huge nose, coffee, milk chocolate, liquorice, roast malt, some viscosity. Flavour follows the nose, coffee up front, bitter in the middle then chocolate in the finish. Slick and oily in the mouth, quite fizzy. Decent.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another one of heavy’s, huge thanks! Poured an extremely dark brown/black body with a small white head. Nice aroma, dominated by coffee, dark malts & stuff. Slightly dry/salty taste dominated by coffee, with some light chocolate and aroma hops kinda reminiscent of lemon. A pleasant mild imperial stout.
