4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
355ml Bottle from Beers of Europe website (£4.39):
Another very enjoyable beer from Flying Dog, this one was surprisingly easy to drink given the strength of the beer and the strong roasted malts and coffee seems to go well towards, striking a good balance and being leveled out a little but the hints of sweetness coming from the dark fruits and sugars. A very nice imperial stout that was well worth picking up although I would probably pick up a bottle of the breweries Gonzo Imperial Stout again before going back to this one.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle.
Pours dark with a thin tan head.
Aroma of dark roast coffee, chocolate and roasted malt.
Taste of coffee, chocolate, malty balance.
Smooth, bitter, slightly astringent finish.
Great beer for a regular price 6pack. Most breweries would jack up the price and put it in a four pack.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I loved this beer. It has a thick smooth mouth feel. Great roasted malt flavors. The 8.9%abv makes you believe it’s gonna taste stronger than it does. It’s velvet in the mouth. I found it to be nearly perfect. I will be buying more. Lots more.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a beautiful deep dark color, but only a thin brown head. Nose is creamy coffee, with a hot of vanilla. Aromas are mainly coffee, but also some black chocolate, roasted malts, raisins and a light alcohol feeling. Kind of woody after-taste. OIly texture, low carbonation. Bitter and sweet finish. Enjoyable coffee stout, but it lacks deeper aromas and a better mouthfeel, something more creamy.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Ship in a Bottle. Aroma is heavy with coffee, vanilla and roasted beans or very dark chocolate. Pours black with a medium brown head. Taste is complex with some raisins, much coffee and chocolate. Very tasteful. Palate is full bodied and oil-like. Overall a very nice imperial stout and I highly recommend it.
