Deep black color with mousse-like head. Chocolate, black, and roasted malts. Vanilla and chocolate aroma and flavor. Flaked barley and oats for a creamy texture. Dry finish and slightly roasted coffee after taste. Made with Black Dog Coffee. 8.9% abv.

33cl bottle served in a snifter. Black with no head after a few seconds. Aroma is dirty coffee with a dry quality. Taste is quite earthy, dry coffee on top of the standard imperial stout flavours. Less powerful coffee presence than Mout & Mocca which to me was undrinkable. Not my favourite style of imperial stout but overall this is a nice example whilst still having the earthy, roasted qualities of coffee.

Served in sampler at brewery. Strong coffee nose, taste, and finish - a pretty unsubtle but enoyable creamy stout. Medium long finish.

Bottle to stout glass. The pour is jet black with a brown head. The aroma is coffee and and sweetness with a bit of vanilla and roast. The taste is sweet coffee upfront with a bitter coffee and roasty finish. The finish is slick and thick. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz. Always stoked to see something new (to me at least) from Flying Dog. Big nose with sweet coffee and vanilla hints. Flavors are burnt and sweet coffees up front, hints at roasted malts beneath, and loads of grains and dry hop notes with coffee at the finish. Pretty damn good.

Extremt stark doft av kaffe och vanilj. Smaken var enormt god. Flying dog har en riktigt hög lägsta nivå men denna spöar det mesta. Enormt god och fyllig. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, massive coffee, mocha, some dark fruits. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate to medium bitter finish. Delicious coffee dessert beer.

From bottle. Pitch black, little syrupy, foamy coffee brown head that fades. Not getting much of aroma, little hint of coffee maybe. Taste is dominated by the coffee, nice bitterness, dark chocolate, alcohol seems well hidden. Smooth mouthfeel with light carbonation. Pretty nice

On tap at The Daily Pint. Jet black, entirely opaque, two-finger tan head and minimal lace. Rich coffee, roasted malt and coca aromas with hints of dark fruit and alcohol. Flavors of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla bean and warming alcohol. Heavy body, silky smooth mouthfeel, no carbonation and a rich, decadent chocolate finish.

black; very smooth, especially for an 8.9% beer; roasted malt flavor with mild coffee notes
