12 oz bottle pours a nice thick dark brown with and espresso like head. Smells of dark chocolate, coffee, dark malts, and toffee. The flavor of this brew is dead on. Huge imperial stout flavor with a French vanilla coffee flavor lingering in the background. Sweet but not overbaringly sugary. Palate is a little bit sticky but not terribly cloying. Overall another awesome offering from flying dog in a six pack none the less! Cheers

12oz bottle into a snifter. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Taste is a lot of coffee with some bitterness at the end. The coffee lingers on the palate for some time

Pours an opaque black with a small tan head. Smells of roasted malts and chocolate. Aroma is coffee and chocolate qith some roasted malts on the back end. Body is very full and creamy. Taste is on the sweet side but again reminds me of coffee. This is more enjoyable if you let it do its duty than if you try to figure out how to classify or describe it. A satisfying substantial brew. I’m glad to have picked up 6 of these.

Awesome brew! Pours black with thin caramel brown head. Sweet, chocolate, caramel, vanilla aroma. Silky smooth across the tongue with a sweet caramel / coffee finish. Slightly boozey at the end. Good stuff.

Pour is jet black with a think layer of dark brown bubbles, not even a head really. Nose is of coffee and booze. Taste is a little bit more subtle, clocking in with a lot of coffee flavor, and nearly gets in bitterness from that instead of the hops.

On tap at Cloverleaf. Pours a dark black color with caramel colored head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, chocolate, slight coffee roast and earthiness. Sweet creamy caramel taste with dark fruit underneath. Coffee spice. Nice hop layer. And vanilla on the back end to smooth things out. Booze comes through slightly. Very solid.

Almost black with creamy tan head. Nose of coffee, grape, cinnamon. Somewhat subdued. Medium-heavy body with good carbonation. Coffee is understated with more sweet, fruity notes than any other coffee beer I’ve had. Tingly carbonation finish, with some lasting smoke and coffee.
