3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from an expensive ass 6pack purchased at Spirits Point. Poured a pitch black body under an average to large dark beige foamy head. Aroma is like a cup of super sweet coffee, lots of lactose notes, wet burnt toast, some dark fruit in the background. Body is full, thicker and coating with small tight bubbly carbonation and just the slightest touch of heat on the aftertaste. Flavor isn’t as sweet as the aroma and starts off with some seriously bitter dark bakers chocolate, old stale black coffee, wet dark toast, dark fruits (figs, prunes, plums) and a hint of vanilla extract. Solid beer but not liking the price. Weird thing is if this was a $10 4-pack I wouldn’t say a word but a $15 6-pack is tough, I know the math is the same and it’s still $2.50 a bottle but something about a $15 6er is tough to swallow.

Love the sweet chocolate flavor with light to moderate bit of coffee bitterness and flavor. Somewhat over carbonated, took away from the flavor. Enjoyable brew, worth trying!

4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Subdued aroma, with hints of chocolate. Pours an opaque black, with a full tan head. Delicious roasted flavors blending chocolate and coffee, this comes with a creamy and smooth mouthfeel. This is a solid imperial coffee stout, and I recommend trying it.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Pinocchio’s. Dark pour, ruby highlights. Very rich flavor, loads of coffee but with a really sharp, sweet finish. Vanilla and a slew of oats present. Pretty decent, but not mind blowingly awesome.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had at Pony with grandpa. Pours a dark black with tan head. Not too creamy nor too toasty. A nice balance that suits me well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle) Black body and a small reddish-brown brown. Aroma of dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, wood, a note of smoke. Full bodied, thick and chewy. Coffee, chocolate flavors; alcohol; sweet syrup flavor mixed with bitter burnt notes. A little more burnt than is to my liking, but not too bad. Good body.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from lukin013. Pours thick and black with a tan foam on top that leaves a very thin layer. The aroma has dark chocolate, espresso, burnt caramel malt, and oats. There’s some creamy vanilla sweetness to the flavor, with a touch of molasses, but this is all about the coffee and dark chocolate. Moderately roasty with a hint of alcohol but overall quite easy to consume for an Imperial Stout. Good coffee Stout. I like that the abv isn’t through the roof.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a slight brown head. Nice coffee aroma, and has a slightly sweet edge to it. The coffee and chocolate flavors really linger on the palate.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle pours a nice thick dark brown with and espresso like head. Smells of dark chocolate, coffee, dark malts, and toffee. The flavor of this brew is dead on. Huge imperial stout flavor with a French vanilla coffee flavor lingering in the background. Sweet but not overbaringly sugary. Palate is a little bit sticky but not terribly cloying. Overall another awesome offering from flying dog in a six pack none the less! Cheers
