3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark black, with the dark brown head I always love on porters/stouts. Aroma is very nice, with strong coffee, roast and some chocolate. Beer is a bit sweeter than expected. Masks the alcohol percentage well. A little bit thinner than expected.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: coffee black, with a rich, creamy one-finger dark tan head; decent lacing. Aroma: mocha, espresso, vanilla, cream, chocolate, whisper of cinnamon. Taste: like a chocolate-covered espresso bean, very roasty, with hints of toasted oak and cedar, and a bit of cream. Finish: velvety smooth, pleasantly dry, with a slightly bitter tang. Notes: Delightful. Flavors, palate and appearance were all spot on. Would drink this for breakfast every day if I didn’t have to work.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz. bottle picked up from Brawley’s. This coffee stout does not mess around. It’s seriously black and heavy with loads of tasty coffee bean goodness. The aroma is a little metallic and not as powerful but the flavor took me by surprise and brought an onslaught of rich, roasty goodness. The palate is dense and suits the deep roast. This is a hefty and highly enjoyable coffee stout. Almost, just almost has the qualities of a Valdez or a Bells java stout.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown pour with a mocha tan head and a reddish hue akin to a pinot noir. Nose of dark fruits, prunes, a little bit of cream, but not much coffee. Flavor is roasted malts, more dark fruits, light coffee. Creamy mouthfeel at first feels very thin as I drink more. Alcohol becomes a bit more evident as it warms. Boozy, coffee bitterness with a bit sugary cream thrown in.
