Extremely impressed with this imperial coffee stout. Bourbon flavored, sweetness and roasted coffee bean flavors dominate. Slightly bitter finish. Pours like motor oil with a reddish brown head. Incredible stout ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy brown head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet lactic vanilla and chocolate with some dark fruit and acidic coffee roast.

The flavor is sweet vanilla with some dark fruit and a leathery roast coffee finish. The mouhfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation and is a bit watery.

Overall, it’s a bit overly sweet for me and lacking in coffee.

Bottled. The aroma has roast, coffee, some vanilla. Black coloured beer with a thin, beige head. The taste is roasted malty, has coffee, light bitterness, bit vanilla. Finishes, smooth and dry. Nice.

I really thought this would be a lot bolder. It’s still good. But with a name like Kujo you’d expect it to tear you a new one. Aroma is nice with coffee and some faint dark chocolate. Taste is dark roasted malt with coffee and a hint of vanilla. Finish is smooth and tasty with little bitterness. FD--if you ever make another version of this, I want to have to strap on a helmet to enjoy this one, thanks.

StueyD (1381) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2015
A pitch black coloured beer with a tan coloured head. A strong coffee led aroma, burnt malt, smoky, treacle, chocolate and some spice. Rich and full bodied mouthfeel. A rich bittersweet coffee taste, smoky, treacle and chocolate, then an alcoholic bitterness that brings forth a fruitiness of grapefruit and lime. The finish is rich coffee and bitter sweet.

For the price a great coffee stout, one of my favorites over the years. Could use a little more abv though..
