2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle 297A04 Deep amber, thin head. Malty nose. Light/medium bodied w/ a fairly crisp, bitter finish. A little bit of ale funkiness adds a touch of intrigue...but fails to bring forth enough of anything to warrant much revisiting. Anchor puts it to shame.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Decent Cali Common, not that there are that many out there to sample. Amber orange, clear, OK head. Caramel and orange aroma, bit of earth. Sweet on the tongue with more caramel malts, some fruitiness presumably from the fermentation temps, and a slight hop bitterness on the finish. Quite decent.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark amber with a thin head. Very little as far as aromas go some caramel and a bit of hops. the flavour was much of the same. Nothing to special but it was o.k.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Nothind outstanding here. The label was pretty cool, as usual for Flying Dog. Dark yellow pour, light head. Smelled of light hops and light yeast, nothing stood out. Tasted about the same way. More malt would improve this beer, IMHO.

caramel taste with a bitter metalic finish, not bad but not that great

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light hop note, smooth malts. Not powerful aroma, but fragrant. Dark amber clear with thin off-white head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Watery malt start, light caramel, acidity. Nice hoppy finish, light bitter, mild nutty sweetness. After is light nutty bitter.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice amber colour with a beige head that falls back to some lacing. Loads of caramel malt aroma with faint citrus. Flavour is also malt forward, caramel, biscuity, with a nice shot of citrusy hoppiness. Some yeastiness in the finish as well. Decent bitterness.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Anchor is no danger from this brew. even though I feel that way I would like to see more versions of this the only American style

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Color is reddish copper with a thin dissipating off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet and bready. Flavor is malty and slightly sweet with a light tangy bite finishing kinda dry with a touch of bitterness. Body is kinda thin.
