3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It poured a clear amber and gave the same color body. A small white head appeared and barely lasted fifteen seconds before dieing altogether into the body. No lacing is left behind. The smell has the caramel up front with some light inviting fruits, slight citrus. The taste is the same with a slightly dry aftertaste. The palate is about a light to medium with some light harshness on the tongue. It had a bitter finish and is fairly drinkable. Overall, pretty good for the most part, just not a standout, and I will have again.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This is not a good beer. The best thing about it is the label. Malt is weak as are the hops. It’s like drinking weak coffee. No bite, no complexity. I would have poured it out but I was on a train.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Sully’s
Deep amber/copper color with a huge bubbly off white head that slowly recedes. The aroma is heavy on the caramel malt with hints of toffee and light chocolate. Light earthy hop aroma barely. The flavor is rich caramel maltiness with a touch of burnt sugar. Earthy spicy hop flavor with a light amount of bitterness. Solid darker lager brew.
