McGarnigle (150), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle 221FX08. Pours clear amber/red with beige head. Smells a bit like a lager (German hops). Initial thought on taste was this is an English ale. Malty more than bitter (low IBU). Some caramel, some butterscotch. It is fairly clean by the standards of an ale. Not a bad beer, but why claim it’s a a lager. The_Captain (251), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 21, 2008 On tap in MD brewery- Clear rich amber pour with off white head. Mild hops aroma.
