12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color, foamy head. Some lacing. Aroma was mostly bitter malt. Flavor was similarly bitter, some malt. Pleasant aftertaste, but the flavor was not that great. Palate feels a little thin. Overall I wouldn’t bother with this again.

BOD 250/15. Pours a clear medium amber that is light garnet in intense light. World class head volume, lacing and retention. Somewhat light nose of caramel and earthy hops. Medium body that has a somewhat creamy texture. Superb carbonation with an effervescent burst in the middle and a nice prickly finish. The flavor profile is very good. Reasonably intense, slightly complex and very well balanced. It begins with a slightly charred caramel that is more nutty than sweet. The middle brings a mild earthy hop bitterness and flavor. Underneath is the strongest caramel appearance. The finish is a slow fade of the above coupled with a subtle tart fruit note.

Nicely persistent foam. The aroma is weak, but suggests malt and a little fruit. Mouth feeling is tingling due to much carbon dioxide, but the taste does not fail immediately something. It has a tart fruity filling allowing only sporadic touches of caramel malt. Hop bitterness is intrusive. I think the hops are a little too dominant.

This is not a good beer. The best thing about it is the label. Malt is weak as are the hops. It’s like drinking weak coffee. No bite, no complexity. I would have poured it out but I was on a train.

Bottle enjoyed at home, poured a deep amber colour with a beige head. Sweet caramel upfront. Toffee, raisins, i’m getting a hint of walnut. Some hop bitterness in the back. Some yeast aswel. Not the best beer that i’ve had from flying dog
