4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Wow, this is a good find. Iíve seen this stuff in my local Vons for many a moon and, perhaps for the rather funk label, Iíve avoided it....BIG, BIG mistake! This stuff is damned good! I love Amber Lagers and this is a delicious one, especially since it is a hybrid and has some ale characteristics as well. Very good.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This is not a good beer. The best thing about it is the label. Malt is weak as are the hops. Itís like drinking weak coffee. No bite, no complexity. I would have poured it out but I was on a train.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Sullyís
Deep amber/copper color with a huge bubbly off white head that slowly recedes. The aroma is heavy on the caramel malt with hints of toffee and light chocolate. Light earthy hop aroma barely. The flavor is rich caramel maltiness with a touch of burnt sugar. Earthy spicy hop flavor with a light amount of bitterness. Solid darker lager brew.
