3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Triangle Wine Co. Pours a clear gold with a very small white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma is mostly apples, but has a little spice, citrus and a very slight malt backing as well. Taste lies mostly within the realm of sweet apples and candied sugar. Body is average, texture is slick and slightly creamy. Slick mouthfeel, heavy carbonation. Overall this is a pretty decent beer. Iím not a huge cider or fruit beer fan but this one is pretty easy to drink and the taste isnít offensive. Worth a shot.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent apple juice blonde with white head. Smells solid too; yeasty with notes of apples and light spices. Tastes like it smells, only less robust and balanced. Average on the palate. Alright, but smells better than it tastes.

Rake. Keg. Yet another pretty scarce Flying Dog brew at the Rake. Thanks again fo Rich Dinwoodie and Mike Hill for securing this stuff for us rabid UK drinkers! Itís a clear gold beer with no real head which is something of a surprise as the beer certainly has adequate crispy carbontation. Light thin malt cream. Fresh crispy apple. Whisper of citric hops. Crisp dry finish. A definite cider vibe here but with enough malt and hops to remimd that this is a beer! Tasty!

It was a light ale with a lot of grape and not much else. Slightly acidic. Relatively dry finish. Bleh.

Lightly sour apple ale, with a nice balance between cider & APA flavors. This odd style isnít a real favorite, but this was solid. On draft at Good Beer.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Golden amber clear with a white head. Aroma is a mild apple but the taste is sweet and apple juice. Not my thing, do not recommend at all.

On tap at the Bier Baron, DC. Pours a clear gold with some thin white head. Nose smells like... apples. Surprised? Some sweetness, a little candy, a hint of lemon. Tastes like... apples. Some lemon, a little yeast, some candy sugar. Sweet finish. Very one note.
