330ml bottle, pours cola like black with a small head. Aroma is toasty malt, cocoa, milk chocolate, a bit o a ceamy texture, good body which is dry on the finish and a little bitter. Soft carbonation.

The chocolate overpowers any other aroma with this dark brown brew with a light brown head. The aroma is pretty typical of most stouts. The taste is chocolately with a hint of the sea. A touch of saltiness through out the sip and slightly in the aftertaste along with the bitter and chocolate. The faintest hint of oysters comes through. Ever so slightly in this full bodied brew with decent carb.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with small, creamy, beige head and nice lacing. Aroma is of toasted malt, bread crust, herbal hops and see bay. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is of toasted, bready malt, coffee, salt, oysters, brown sugar, burnt grain and herbal hops. Finish is long, bitter, and salty. Very nice brew, would be classic with shellfish.

12 oz bottle from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have dry roasted malt, mild dark chocolate notes, some earthy bitterness with some brine to the finish. Decent enough for what it is.

Reviewed from notes. I’ve always had this in pint glasses. The appearance was a nice dark brown close to black color with a decent half finger white foamy head that dies at a nice pace and leaves a light lacing about it. The smell was dry and dark and roasty. Honestly, I really didn’t get much of any "oyster"/brininess of any of the sorts. The taste was mainly just dark and roasty. On the palate, it sat at/about a light to medium in body. The carbonation was fairly good for the style and for me. It was slightly dry but not too sharp. Overall, I say this was a decent Irish Dry Stout worthy of having again, but not much of an "oyster stout."

Aroma: The nose is roasted malts, coffee/chocolate, and some salt/brine
Appearance: Pours a chestnut-brown color with a light beige head and light lace
Flavor: Taste hits the same lines, with a roasted and malty flavor to go along with a little brininess
Palate: The body is lighter for the style, with a somewhat creamy and easy drinking feel
Overall Impression: This is a nice example of the style. You get some brine/saltiness from the oysters, and the overall beer is easy drinking and works nicely. What they did here makes sense to me.

Bottle @ 3 Wise Monkeys Bar(Hanuman), Todmorden. Black with a full roasted malt aroma but slightly more dour in its taste, although the roasted malts are still very apparent.

Dark brown pour long lasting tan head. Aroma of smoke roasts hay and cream. Tastes like fresh oysters choco char. Dry palate. Very good oyster stout; would get again.

This beer sits just fine. Oysters don’t seem to be apparent in the taste. Dark chocolate, coffee aspects with a fairly bitter finish. Medium bodied beer with an everlasting thin head as you drink it. I like it fine as a stout (but can stand just one every now and then). Aroma does not match the better taste.

Nem rég ismerkedtem meg a különleges sörök világával, de minimum egy indokot tudok mondani, miért is volt jó ez: Flying Dog Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout. De van még pár indok ezen kívül :)
