I always thought I'd like oysters until I actually tried one. This beer was the opposite. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz. Pours jet black with an expresso colored head. Looks amazing in the glass! Wafting from the glass are aromas of light smoke, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts galore, and a lactic twang. The flavor is very smooth and full. Roasted malts dominate, followed by smoked meat, herbal notes, and coffee. Wooo! what a nice beer here

Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting, April 2013. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin slightly broken tan head. The aroma is dry and peaty, leading to a medium bitter, earthy flavour with lots of malty creaminess on the palate. A super beer from Flying Dog.
