3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours really dark but is still penetrable by light. Lots of bubble on the glass and has a tan foam head that is quick to dissipate. Smells like any normal stout with a lot of saltiness and a small amount of dark chocolate. Quiet watery body as the glass would suggest with a lot of carbonation. Taste follows light normal tasting stout (ex guiness draught) with plenty of saltiness, carbonation and a little dark chocolate. If you like Oyster Stouts cool, I just feel like someone put salt water in my average sessionable stout.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
BBD 226/14. Pours used motor oil black with a nice head. Outstanding lacing and average retention. Nice nose of chocolate, anise and roast over a slight salty sea note. Light medium bodied with a smooth texture that approaches slick. Below average carbonation with almost no effervescence on the finish. Extremely well balanced flavor profile that has some complexity, but is not as intense as Bellís Kalamazoo or FBS. It begins with a chocolate note that flows into a slight roast bitterness. Underneath is a very subtle saltiness. The finish is smooth and the finish leaves you with a lingering chocolate bitterness and a touch of salt.

Geen schuim. Mooi zwart. Milde geur.
Moeilijk te bepalen wat de smaak is. Milde smaak. Oesters? Ik haal het er niet uit. Wel een prettige stout maar niet opvallend.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The chocolate overpowers any other aroma with this dark brown brew with a light brown head. The aroma is pretty typical of most stouts. The taste is chocolately with a hint of the sea. A touch of saltiness through out the sip and slightly in the aftertaste along with the bitter and chocolate. The faintest hint of oysters comes through. Ever so slightly in this full bodied brew with decent carb.

Taste is of toasted, bready malt, coffee, salt, oysters, brown sugar, burnt grain and herbal hops. Finish is long, bitter, and salty. Very nice brew, would be classic with shellfish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Reviewed from notes.
Iíve always had this in pint glasses.
The appearance was a nice dark brown close to black color with a decent half finger white foamy head that dies at a nice pace and leaves a light lacing about it.
The smell was dry and dark and roasty. Honestly, I really didnít get much of any "oyster"/brininess of any of the sorts.
The taste was mainly just dark and roasty.
On the palate, it sat at/about a light to medium in body. The carbonation was fairly good for the style and for me. It was slightly dry but not too sharp.
Overall, I say this was a decent Irish Dry Stout worthy of having again, but not much of an "oyster stout."
