3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz served in a snifter.
A - Pours very dark brown almost black with a thin tan head that forms a seal aroung the edges of the glass. Specks of lacing left around the glass.
S - Roasted chocolate malts, anise, molasses, caramel, smoked nuts.
T - Roasted/smoked malts, hints of cocoa, some raisin and molasses sweetness, overall very dry though. Suggestions of smoked oysters. Finishes with a clean saltiness and a smoky cacao aftertaste.
M - Medium body, moderate carbonation, chunky feel.
This was my first oyster stout and it was quite good. The oysters were subtle but really added to a solid English stout. This would pair well with food or by itself.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taster from Flying Dog sales rep. Dark brown with thin tan head. Roasty malt aroma. Nice standard stout; roast flavors, not too malty, some grassy earthy hop for balance and a hint of a briny flavor. Better than I anticipated, would probably pair well with seafood that is not dusted with Old Bay.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Drank from a twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Wegman’s. I couldn’t really smell. A good taste of bitter malts, slighly chocolatey. A noteworthy spin on the hopification of this brew! A good stout!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear, dark ruby red. Halo of tan bubbles. Aroma has soft, dark fruit. Woody liquorice. Some treacle toffee. Chocolate malts. Hint of green hop. Taste is light sweet. Turns woody dry. Bit of a saline thing going on, as you might expect. Palate is fairly full, although this is a bit over carbonated. Finishes fairly long, roasty bitter. Ok for the ABV.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smells like a stout But a little different like oatmeal? Very dark black appearance...smooth malty roasted taste off the bat...more bitter on finish...too hoppy a finish for me
