Excellent beer. Dark coffee color, thin tan head and light lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste is of unsweetened chocolate with very slight hints of brine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Deep brown pour, appearing almost jet black in the glass. Light-tan head bubbles up & recedes quickly to a foamy collar. Aroma of slightly milky chocolates, mild cream, moderately roasted malt, perhaps a little dry coffee, & very light licorice. It takes kind of thin; a little watered down. More black licorice, a lot more dry roast, notes of slight ash & char coming out as well. Not getting any of the aromatic sweetness or cream. No signs of oysters, either. Relatively thin body. Smells like a sweet milk stout. Tastes like an overly charred dry stout. Just decent.

Black body with a thin white head. Roasty coffee like aroma and a flavor of deep coffee with a smooth slight salty roast. Medium bodied and clean.

Pours a dark maroon black. Pepper, spices, earthy malts. Hints of cocoa, dark fruit, and salt. A really wonderful oyster stout.

Black body with a reddish hue. The light-brown head is small but very long-lasting, and it laces the glass well. Strong, sweet and malty aroma with tons of dark caramel and chocolate. Quite dark roasted with mild coffee. Heavy roasted and strong flavour of dark caramel and chocolate, soy sauce in the finish and fruity hints. I’ve never(!) had oysters, but I assume that they are causing the notes of salty soy sauce. Quite much sweetness initially, despite the dry finish, and there is also a light bitterness. A bit watery mouthfeel, but it’s smooth and dry, so fairly pleasant. Soft carbonation. Good stuff!

bottle - Pours black with a small, light tan head. The aroma is of dark roasted, coffee accented malt. The flavor is also roasty with coffee and chocolate notes. It’s medium bodied with a good, robust taste. Well done though I don’t notice the oysters adding anything.

Dark brown pour, black in the glass with a small tan head. Pretty roasty aroma with chocolate and caramel. The flavor is pretty much the same, but with an emphasis on burnt malt. The finish is dry, and has a salty character and a weird earthy flavor I will assume is from the oysters. Not bad I guess.

Oyster flavour is not that noticeable. This beer is mild in every way. Very smooth.

Bottle. Black with a cream foam. Aromas are coffee and blackberries with caramel. Earthy and smoky with lemon. Flavours are rich coffee with bittersweet dark chocolate and slightly tart berries. Earthy with hints of seawater. Fairly robust roast malts bitter finish. Nice.

Pours light black. Smell is roasty malt, slightly savory. Taste is roasty malt and a light tart brininess. Kind of thin body and dry. Bubbly for a stout. I only pinpoint "briny" because I know what it is. Decent. Not bad, and a bit different but not something I was overly impressed with either.
