Zlotta (1917) - Hagen, GERMANY - JUL 20, 2016
On tap at ’Bar Brouw’. Clear, dark reddish amber with an off-white head. Sweetish, very spicy and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, cinnamon, pumpkin, some raisins, coke and pine. Sweetish, slightly bitter, very spicy and moderately fruity taste of caramel, lots of cinnamon, pumpkin, coke, some raisins and pine, followed by a short, quite bitter, spicy and dry finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. I quite like it, although it is very spicy, and I can imagine it’s not to everyone’s liking.

(Flying Dog The Gourd Standard) Tap at Thornbridge Den Bosch, 250 ml into a teku. Dark orange to amber coloured body, clear, with a small but thick off-white head on top, quite good retention. Aroma of spices, namel coriander and cardamon, malts and caramel. Taste follows, lots of cardamon, some caramel, coriander, mildly bitter. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Not much different than any other pumpkin ale out there.

12 oz Bottle from a friend The IPA poured a dark amber with a caramel color head and modest lacing. Spices and pumpkin dominate the aroma. The taste is full of pumpkin, spices and pale malts. Where is the hops bitterness. The pumpkin spices over power all else. The IPA has a medium body with average carbonation. The finish ends with pumpkin spices on the tongue. This is unique IPA.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a murky orange-amber with lots of floaties and an average size diminishing frothy white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices first followed by light hops in the back. Flavour’s better, fruitier and a bit hoppier along with the pumpkin pie spices and caramel malt in the back. Moderate+ bitter finish. Average bodied. Just good, I liked it enough.

Bottle, thanks sevenhokie! Grapefruit hop aroma with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and some pumpkin. Pours amber-orange with a large off-white head with good retention and very little lacing. Starts with grapefruit hop flavors with some light pumpkin sweetness. Finishes dry with grapefruit hop flavor and acidity throughout as well as notes of the aforementioned spices. Good, but doesn't carry through a lot of pumpkin.

Bottle. Orangey amber beer with a strong foamy head. The aroma is fruity with a little aniseed quality. The flavour is medicinal with a good level of hops providing bitterness. Overall a good but non typical IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a cloudy orange witha large white head. Aroma is pumkin pie spice with a green hop in there. Flavor is an odd combo of pie spice and hops which dont’t work real well together. This is very bitter and has an odd aftertaste. This was a strange beer which could not make up its mind what it wanted to be.
