4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The name says it all. This beer attacks your taste buds then gives you a hug and a back massage. My first couple of six packs I took it as an experimental gimmick, a blended style with an inflammatory name and graphic, but it grew on me. Normal IPAs no longer do it, I NEED that IPA/belgian spice combo now.

Bottle from the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. I love this beer, it’s a wonderful mix of sourness, fruity funk and mangoes, kiwi and tangerine. This is so refreshing and not too bitter. Smooth as a whistle. Lovely stuff.

Bottle. Citrus , pine aroma with banana/clove from yeast. Light sweet taste with some hop bitterness. Medium body, finish is a little dry but also a little sweet. Overall this was pretty good, and a unique take on the style.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From 355 ml bottle in a tulip glass. Pours a clear amber with a pale solid head. Fruity aromas of tropical fruits. Grapefruit, ripe mango, passion fruit. Lots of floral hops. Candy sweetness. Belgian yeast notes. Same flavours in the mouth with a crisp pine bitterness in the aftertaste and a touch of belgian yeast. Perfectly balanced between fruity sweetness and bitterness. Great beer and highly enjoyable! Would always buy it again.

Poured from glass into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a medium amber color with a one finger white head. The head fades relatively fast to leave a good level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big of herbal and citrus grapefruit hops. Mixed with these are lighter notes of a bready smells as well as some faint tropical fruit aromas of pineapple and mango as well as some flavors of a bubblegum like smell.
Taste- The taste begins with a bready quite malty flavor. Mixed with these flavors there are some flavors of a mango and tangerine sweetness. There is also a hop flavor of a more herbal nature in the initial tastes that bring a moderate hop flavor to the tongue. As the taste advances the fruit flavors remain relatively constant while the hop flavor grow more intense with a grapefruit flavor soon overwhelming the herbal and becoming the dominant hop flavor. At around this time a light yeasty flavor also comes to the tongue. In the end this grapefruit hop is rather potent, but in many ways, fits the tropical fruit flavors rather well to leaves a nice bitter and fruity flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the creamier and thicker side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. Both are very nice for the style and match the hop and fruit/malt profile nicely.
Overall – This is a fairly nice yet easily drinkable imperial IPA with a good blend of hop and fruit flavors.
