Draught @ In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Rated on 25.2.2013.
Pours a hazy amber colour with a white creamy head. Aroma of swett caramel, gooseberry bush and grass. Flavour of caramel, grassy bitterness, gooseberries, nettles and unfortunately some vegetables. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a creamy, malty, bitter finish. Decent and probably past it’s prime.

Aroma: Smelling of bread, red fruit, coffee and Desivon.
Appearance: A clear amber/copper beer. An off-white head with small lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting of toffee, bread, orange chocolate and peel.
Palate: Low carbonation, a sticky texture. A medium body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Not really one for me, red ales seems to be difficult.
