3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very dark red with medium head and ample lacing. Aroma is slightly alcoholic but with hints of caramel and chocolate malts. Body is quite lacking in taste, not really a typical porter but more of a dark lager. On the other hand, it is very drinkable and can make for a great summer dark beer.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle shared at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Pours very dark, clear brown with a dark white ring. Oranges, alcohol, a little campari-like even and chocolate aroma. Tastes sweet, thin and a little weird. Sticky feeling, smooth, long finish and light body.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: A little bit of caramel and molasses with very slight notes of cereal. Aromas are not sticking out a lot.
Appearance: Dark brown or is it between brown and black? Kind of translucent and clear for a porter. Creamy average head, with good lacing.
Taste: Smoke is sticking out a lot. And yet it’s not a smoke porter. Sub notes of coffee, black chocolate and vanilla. But smoke is sticking out too much. Body is very light and thin, texture is very watery, which is not common for a porter. Not the typical porter you’d expect. Too thin and too smoky.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roasted and chocolate malts. Taste is of watered down coffee, roasted malts, and hints of chocolate. Thin and watered down. No depth to it. Very blah Porter. Sticky on the lips and slightly bitter on the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with moderate head. Very malty all around, though I fimd it somewhat harsh on the palate. Not bad, but not my favorite porter.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2012 Interesting, complex and very pleasant porter. These guys have repellent labels, but excellent beer. The nose is a lovely aroma of black currant - creme de cassis, as in the Castle Milk Stout. Nice very dark brown, with a firm head, carbonation not spoiling its creaminess. Flavours of malts, roasted bakery, just a touch of chocolate and coffee, and a very well measured bitterness. The medium body beer leaves an extremely pleasant finish, that one just wished it lasted longer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear dark red/brown body with an off white head. Relatively weak aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Medium body, little carbonation. Roasted malty flavour with coffee, some chocolate, a dry bitter finish. Nothing special, but still enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355 mL bottle. It’s a shade lighter than a stout, and has a lovely, medium, pillowy, beige head. The aroma is mild, and has some of the expected nuttiness, but also a hint of ripe orchard fruit. Just a hint. The flavour is surprisingly mild as well - very drinkable. There is some bitterness at the end which seems to come from hops, rather than roasted malt. A good, not great porter.
