2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Darwenus (386) - Virginia, USA - MAY 16, 2012In the glass it’s a pleasant milk chocolate color. The faint head fades quickly and leaves a trace of suds here and there. The aroma is beyond faint. It’s a smell like maybe somebody had a porter a few hours ago and you kinda detect it on their breath. The taste is virtually nonexistent. There’s a slight bit of porter aftertaste, but nothing much to speak of one way or the other. At least it doesn’t taste BAD, I guess.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dfonorow (716) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2013
Pour is dark brown with an averaged sized tan head. Aroma is faint - roasted malts, molasses, coffee. Flavor and body are thin and much like the aroma.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 gonzosauce (133) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Gentle metal and aged malt on the nose; this isn’t as fresh as would be ideal. Looks great though; a rich, consistent, coffee brown color and an appreciably thick cream head. Despite a dilapidated aroma, the flavor is great, albeit definitively mellow. A porter, cut and dry.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a shaker. Pours translucent dark brown with medium brown highlights with small beige head. A little lacing, thin body, medium/low carbonation, and light chocolate aroma. Taste is light dark malt and light vegetable hops. A little thin, but pretty easy to drink.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 laiti (3925) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 7, 2013
35,5 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 28.08.2009
Aroma is somewhat roasted with toffee and licorice. Flavour has roasted notes, some toffee, licorice and hints of coffee. Quite thin palate. Does not work, just too straightforward and thin.
That ’NO CENSORSHIP’ makes me smile as the Gonzo porter was blocked from Alko due to the cigarette in the label.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Gerardgathier (64) - - JAN 31, 2013
Reddish brown colour with medium off white head.
Aroma, wood, chocolate, coffee, nuts.
Full oily body, medium carbonation.
Taste is very watery, with nuts, chocolate and coffee.
Not bad, but also not that good.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 dutchtuga (71) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 22, 2013
Not one of the best of Flying Dog Brewery. The beer is lame and misses a specific taste.
