TaxiDriver (908), Stadland, Germany Jan 29, 2009 Bottle. The Porter smells quite malty, sweet and a little bit alcoholic. The head is very small, dark white and fizzy, it disappears fast. The body is in a very dark red. The taste started sweet, then it gets fast bitter. The duration is quite long. The body is medium strong, dry with normal carbonation. gam (1059), brisbane, Australia Jan 25, 2009 Biege head dark red brown pour good carbonation aroma malty chocolate aniseed caramel flavour fruity coffee malt chocolate aniseed good hop flavours citric touch mild bitter lovely tasting poter little tangy finish on the palate very good. maltdog (509), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jan 20, 2009 Updated: Jan 27, 2009Bottle from mix 12-pack, five weeks old. Deep chesnut with bedraggled beige fizz. No lacing. Acceptable aroma showcases toasted walnuts and hazelnuts, toffee, vanilla, banana… then undercurrents of smoke and diaper. Autolysized? Disgusting grainy budweiser and coffee grounds flavor. Woody vegetal finish, sulphury aftertaste. Medium body has a coarse seltzer and chalky texture. Bad. Real bad. hezron (600), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA Jan 19, 2009 Fruity aroma with a nutty roast aroma, emphasis on the nutty less on the roast. Pour is a dark brown with reddish tint, it seemed lifeless and not much head formed at all. Flavor is sweet and malty, with noticeable, yet subtle peat notes? The caramel-malt taste is a little over-powering sweet, almost like it has too much crystal? It is an interesting blend between a scottish ale and a porter. I’m just not digging how the malts are combining in my mouth. Medium body, very soft carbonation. Rune (2744), Tromsø, Norway Jan 10, 2009 Road Dog is a porter which has got the taste of berries and fruitlike ingredients. Ruby-dark content under a beige, filmy layer. Aroma of dark berries and malt. Flavoured with blackcurrant supported by underlying roasted grain. Mild dark, bitter fruits to the finish. Soft in the mouth. Appreciated, however, rather thin for a porter. 355ml bottle from a SuperBest store in Valby, Denmark, bb.28.01.09 [at home in Tromsø, 09.01.2009]. RasterMaster (120), , Oklahoma, USA Jan 7, 2009 Dark brown pour into off white foamy head. Carbonated bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass into a swirling pool in the center while malty lacings melt into a ring of foam at the top of the glass. Aroma of sweet malty citrus. Initial flavor of roasted malt which fades into slightly bitter hoppy finish. The Etruscan (304), Tuscany, Italy Jan 5, 2009 Beige weak head. Dark brown colour. Aroma is malty, moderately fruity with light roasty and dried fruits notes. Flavor is malty too with fruity and floral tones, ending in a fruity and slightly roasty finish. Medium bodied.
