Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white top. Malty and sweet, a light toffee flavor with hints of chocolate, and tart cherry. Decent beer. NeoHippie2 (173), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 6, 2008 Pours a deep ruby with a nice white head. Lots of malts on the nose. Roasted malts come through with the flavor as well as a touch of coffee. Finishes dry and clean. Pretty drinkable. Nice porter sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours amber/copper, white head.

Deep reddy brown, tiny off-white head. Cocoa powder aroma. Refreshing palate, pleasant carbonation. Fairly burnt taste. Long burnt finish. Decent hops, some raw fruity hop flowers detected. Fairly well balanced.
Tasty, but I feel I’ve tasted it many times before. Very easy to drink.
Rerate: similar rating. This time it was a sweeter and more porridgey aroma. Taste was enormously husky, just full of dry grains. Still a very tasty beer - more like a brown ale than a porter. One of Flying Dog’s better brews. v8powered (48), , Nevada, USA Oct 4, 2008 A very light flavored porter. Roasted malt and coffee falvor with a dry finish. Pours dark with very little head. Good enough but not Flying Dog’s best... KnutAlbert (3108), Oslo, Norway Oct 3, 2008 Bottle from Copenhagen.
Dark ruby, small head.
Vinous, fruity, maly. Port-like sweetness, but with an ashy dry finish. Respectable. maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Oct 1, 2008 Bottled - St Albans BF. A black beer with an off-white head. Some hops in the aroma with an oily fishy greasy feel. The taste is over heavy with heavy roast and an oily greasy texture. I wrote greasy again. Obviously I found it greasy! Oh well.
