jhliesen (403), West Melbourne, Florida, USA Sep 29, 2008 Bottle--the first "cool" break hits Florida and off to the dark beer corner of the fridge I go! It’s a pretty typical, not high quality type of porter. Dark brown with a thin head that was the typical tan color. The aroma was of roasted malts with a tasted of the same roasted malts. Heck, you know the rest of the routine. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Sep 28, 2008 Dark ruby colored beer with shades of brown. Nice long lasting head. Poor nose gives very light notions of black licorice, road tar and bad coffee. Flavor is very weak, with out depth. A really shockingly bad brew Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark Sep 25, 2008 [EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Average bubbly off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Dark mahogany color. Aroma of mild roasted malt, caramel, hint of coffee, mild floral notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor in balance. Mild bitter roasted malty finish. TEJA (281), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 24, 2008 Bottle at Stockholm beer festival. Nice head over a rather thinn colored porter. Small aroma for a porter, but chocolate clearly present. The chocolate also present in the taste but rather lean body and not enough bitterness. RichardGretton (3131), Leicestershire, England Sep 23, 2008 Bottle. Strong looking black beer with a weakish head. The aroma is malty, roasted and milky coffee. The flavour is rich, smooth, lightly bitter and milky coffee. Overall a very good beer. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Sep 21, 2008 Bottle at EBF08. Weak roasted aroma. The flavour is roasted and slightly vinous. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Clear very dark brown colour. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 20, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and bitter chocolate. Flavor reflects the aroma. Slightly too thin for a porter. plovmand (1590), Helsinge, Denmark Sep 20, 2008 Bottle at EBF. Dark brown colour with a small head. A light roasty porter with some coffe and chocolate. Bit watery and thin.
