This isn’t the first time that Flying Dog has screwed me on a variety pack, either- I got two tripels and no barleywines in a variety four-pack a few months ago. Thanks for the false advertising, assholes! soyorganic (217), Denver, Colorado, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 4, 2008 (Bottle). Roasty malt aroma, touch of sweetness. Color is very dark brown, with a small tan head. Interesting taste profile, with distinct roastiness and smoke, along with malted sweetness, followed by a prolonged malty finish. And yes, the body is a bit thin.
