Commercial Description:
Brewed in the tradition of centuries old Scottish brewing methods, "Road" is reminiscent of a Porter. Road Dog is a rich, malty beer with hints of chocolate and licorice resulting from the use of four prized malts.

Brown beer with off white (beige) head. Malty aroma with some freshness. Malty flavour mainly sweet but with notes of roasted malts, almost burned bread, and a touch of licorice. Overall very drinkable.

Decent taste, but kind of thin. Lightly watery palate. All malt flavor, but fortunately not too sweet. Lightly burnt malt finish. No complexity and not especially drinkable.

Bottle thanks to Fidel, pours dark cola brown with minimal cream colored head. The nose is exactly as the comm. description; malty with hints of licorice and chocolate. The flavor is similar but not as rich. A bit thin on the palate. Decent beer.

Poured dark brown with a decent tan head. Coffee was the clearest aroma, also roasted malts and caramel. Flavors were about the same, with a little bitterness and some chocolate in the background. An all around nice beer, but not a must have.

Bottle at Oelbaren, Copenhagen. Pours dark amber with a small creamy white head. Aroma is very malty - caramel, toffee & bread, vague - but inviting. Ok - medium mouthfeel. Liquorice, caramel roast & bready. Very pleasant scottish style porter!

Bottle. Pours a clear brown/dark dark amber with a light tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, and raisin. Flavor is initially hearty - good roast, chocolate notes - but finish is too sweet and weak. Good initial taste although finish is lacking. It has some good porter notes but it’s just a little too sweet.
