Commercial Description:
Brewed in the tradition of centuries old Scottish brewing methods, "Road" is reminiscent of a Porter. Road Dog is a rich, malty beer with hints of chocolate and licorice resulting from the use of four prized malts.

Bottle thanks to Fidel, pours dark cola brown with minimal cream colored head. The nose is exactly as the comm. description; malty with hints of licorice and chocolate. The flavor is similar but not as rich. A bit thin on the palate. Decent beer.

Poured dark brown with a decent tan head. Coffee was the clearest aroma, also roasted malts and caramel. Flavors were about the same, with a little bitterness and some chocolate in the background. An all around nice beer, but not a must have.

Bottle at Oelbaren, Copenhagen. Pours dark amber with a small creamy white head. Aroma is very malty - caramel, toffee & bread, vague - but inviting. Ok - medium mouthfeel. Liquorice, caramel roast & bready. Very pleasant scottish style porter!

Bottle. Pours a clear brown/dark dark amber with a light tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, and raisin. Flavor is initially hearty - good roast, chocolate notes - but finish is too sweet and weak. Good initial taste although finish is lacking. It has some good porter notes but it’s just a little too sweet.

Bottle. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit notes. Flavor adds a nice bitter edge. Sweet fruit-and-nut caramel. If you session at 6%, worth a try even if a combination of 768 other people beg to differ.

This beer just magically appears in my fridge, and I’m hoping it’s like a gift from God, aight, and it’s almost as disappointing as thinking you’re going to see boobs and then at the last minute don’t.

Flaske. Mørkebrun øl, en anelse brændt i duften men ellers ikke noget ophidsende. Smagen er pap agtig, uden bid eller mening. Overraskende at man kan bruge 6% på så lidt. Skuffende.

Clear brown with quickly diminishing tan head. Aroma of bread, sugar, roasted malts and caramel. Thin and malty body tastes of caramel, fruit and sweet malts with a mild hop finish. Seems a bit off for a porter.
