Flying Dog Road Dog Scottish Porter

Bottle. Poured dark brown but looked deep amber when held to the light. The aroma was very pleasing, malty with notes of citrus and coffee. Flavor had notes of coffee, roasted malt, and slight citrus. The finish was hoppy bitter but smooth. Mouth feel was light and this was disappointing. It is unusual for a porter, pleasent, different.

Pours dark amber in color with almost no head. Malt and slight coffee aroma. A little bitter. It is like a watered down porter.

Pours a thin dark brown with a small head that leaves very little lacing. Aroma and flavor are both rather muted, but there is some malt, chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Mouthfeel is thin, watery with medium carbonation. A middle-of-the-road porter...there are certainly better ones out there.

Smells almost like a nice Starbucks coffee. Almost as dark as coffee. Thick head. Definite chocolate taste. Again, like coffee for some reason. Not bad though. My bottle says, "Good Beer No Shit" Thick taste

Bottle. Fruity aroma of berries. Dark brown appearance with a thin head. Smooth, flat texture. Slight liquor flavour. Smooth subtle flavour. Little thin and lacking in punch.

Pours dark brown with reddish highlights. Small tan head. Tasted a bit of roasted malts with some chocolate flavor although very light. There is a bit of bitterness to it.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear cherry/mahogany color with a thin head. Aroma is full and malty with aromas of chocolate, vanilla and anise alongside malt. Taste is relatively full-bodied and malty with a strong chocolate and honey flavor complemented by slight smoky notes in the aftertaste. Light and simple for a porter, but in a rather pleasant way.
