Pours a dar brown that thins to a lighter amber color. Aroma has a hint of chocolate with a strong citrus and hoppy smell. Taste is malty and bitter up front with a small chocolate aftertaste. A good beer but expecting it to taste like a normal porter will leave you bewildered. Says scottish porter on the bottle, and it kind of has that scottish ale with a porter twist to it. If you look at it in that respect it isn’t bad.

Poured almost black with a thin head. Aroma had some chocolate hints. Taste was very reminiscent of coffee, with subtle hints of chocolate. Didn’t have as much kick as a regular porter, but was not a bad beer.

When I first tried this, I was new to the style and really like it. Now its just kind of "meh." Pours a very dark brown, almost no head. Nose is coffee and licorice; tastes of more coffee, with some chocolate roast in there. Not bad, just not all that great.

thin beige head, dark amber body. Aroma of malty pine, chocolate, touch of citrus. Tastes of dark chocolate and maltiness but surprisingly light with thin mouth feel. Very smooth, low on carbonation, kinda like a watered-down guinness.

Bottle. Poured dark brown but looked deep amber when held to the light. The aroma was very pleasing, malty with notes of citrus and coffee. Flavor had notes of coffee, roasted malt, and slight citrus. The finish was hoppy bitter but smooth. Mouth feel was light and this was disappointing. It is unusual for a porter, pleasent, different.

Pours dark amber in color with almost no head. Malt and slight coffee aroma. A little bitter. It is like a watered down porter.

Pours a thin dark brown with a small head that leaves very little lacing. Aroma and flavor are both rather muted, but there is some malt, chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Mouthfeel is thin, watery with medium carbonation. A middle-of-the-road porter...there are certainly better ones out there.

Smells almost like a nice Starbucks coffee. Almost as dark as coffee. Thick head. Definite chocolate taste. Again, like coffee for some reason. Not bad though. My bottle says, "Good Beer No Shit" Thick taste
