incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA Aug 22, 2007 Ah, this is not what a scottish porter should taste like. Watery, bland, no complexity, just blah. Not enough malts or somthing? mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2007 [550-20070821] 355mL (10 mths). Muted woody malt aroma with medium alcohol. Dark brown body with a quick foamy light tan head. Dark malt flavour has some woody nut notes and a bitter finish. Medium-full body. A tasty porter. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 18, 2007 Dark brown, very little head, what is there is beige...aroma is distinctively malty with some bitter chocolate notes, body has a nice effervescence for a porter, very fine bubbles, toasty flavor with bitter coffee beans, a nice brew...leaves a nice finish in the mouth, and some creaminess on the taste buds Kirill (264), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2007 malts and chocolate, but not too flavorful, i wouldve wished it to be a little stronger... decent middle-of-the-pack porter as you would expect from flying dog demdeac40 (238), Etowah, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2007 Pours a dark brown, almost black, with just a slight tan head. The aroma is of dark chocolate with a slight tinge of smoke. The taste is of roasted malts and chocolate with a nice smoky roastiness at the end. Not too bad, probably like it better when it is not 95 degrees outside. wernesgruner (45), USA Aug 15, 2007 not too strong for a porter very smooth little after taste with hints of chocolate but mostly malt. the head is a med tan. not to frothy but the froth tastes like chocolate. good STEPHENDR (478), California, USA Aug 14, 2007 12 oz. bottle- color of black with red , with a medium tan head - nose of sweet malts , slight brine , smoky , dark chocolate , and roasted – taste of roasted malts , dark chocolate , and milk chocolate - body is medium , and with medium carbonation – aftertaste of roasted malts , dark chocolate , and milk chocolate stefanje (937), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Aug 13, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a skimpy meager tan head. Aroma was burnt toast and coffee. Flavor was similar to aroma with a bit of chocolate and some thrown in. Hoppiness was understated.
