Aug 2, 2009 Brewed in the USA..... Pours a very dark amber color with a small dissipating off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel and toffee. Taste is also of roasted malts, and caramel. Mouthfeel is a bit on the watery side with some mild carbonation and a slight dryness in the finish. Overall, It was like drinking flat soda !!

Dark reddish brown colour with small tan head. Bubbly. Dark roasted malts in aroma with hints of coffee, caramel and some sweetness. Roasted malts in flavour too. Some hints of coffee and nuts and some bitterness also in flavour. Quite thin and cola-like for a Porter.

Jul 23, 2009 Pours a light tan head with legs and a dark brown body. Smells of roasted malts and brown sugar. Flavor is roasted and toasted malts and brown sugar. Finish has a nice toasty brown sugar flavor. Not bad. Could use a bit more complexity...or I could just buy a Gonzo.

Jul 18, 2009 Pours a nice dark amber with a minimal effervescent head. Aroma vaguely smells like copper with a hint of chocolate. Taste is balanced and deceptively smooth. None of the flavors overpower each other; I mostly taste oats, chocolate, and some nuts. Decent aftertaste. Decent beer.

Jul 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a medium brown with very little head..Nose is of faint chocolate and a touch of dog poo. Not real anxious to drink this. Huh.....Some fruit background, some cocoa and light coffee up front..lightly floral as well. Im not getting a lot of licorice here..Some hops enter the picture in the finish. A bit watery, big carbonation. Not that good.

Jul 3, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a nutty brownish color with almost no head. Nose is light chocolate with some dark roast hints and a light, almost nuttyness. Palate is fairly thin and smooth/clean. Flavors are light coffee with some nutty and chocolate notes.

Jun 30, 2009 Bottle poured into pint glass. Nice clear ruby-brown color. Thin head that disappears quickly. Aroma of malt with a touch of pear and rose. Good flavor, though not spectacular. Fairly hoppy for a porter, IMHO. Some malt there too, but not strong. Overall decent and pretty drinkable.

Jun 30, 2009 12 oz. Very deep brown color, tan head. Roasted malt and wood aroma. Smooth roasted flavor, dry finish. Medium-full body, medium-high carbonation. Not a bad porter at all, but doesn’t really stand out either.
