502Flavors (276), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 10, 2008 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Nearly black good light tan head that lasted alright and left some lace. Nice roasted (almost smokey) smooth aroma. Flavor is a bit watery and very one dimensional - some roasted malt. Smooth medium body on palate. Overall: simple porter, not unique but highly drinkable and balanced. Dango (11), Snekkersten, Denmark Oct 10, 2008 For a porter, this seems quite light if not thin to me. More like a dunkel on very dark malts. But I guess I am an amateur, and I am not familiar with "Scottish Porters". Its not bad, but not quite my taste either. Rciesla (871), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white top. Malty and sweet, a light toffee flavor with hints of chocolate, and tart cherry. Decent beer. neo_hippie2 (128), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 6, 2008 Pours a deep ruby with a nice white head. Lots of malts on the nose. Roasted malts come through with the flavor as well as a touch of coffee. Finishes dry and clean. Pretty drinkable.
