Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 13, 2005 [Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A clear brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted with slight acidic hints. The flavor is sweet roasted, combined with notes of wood and nutmeg, on a slightly malty back ground. I find this closer to a Brown Ale, than a Porter. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 13, 2003 Bottled. Very dark ruby, near black. Firm head. Vinous citrusy aroma. Medium sweet. Clean, but not hard. Roasty. salty finish with pleasant bitterness. Papsoe (10399), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 16, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear reddish mahogany with a small, off-white head. Roasted, malty nose. Medium body with plenty of delicate, roasted malt - almost a bit vinous, port-like. A wee, burned edge. More a Scottish Ale than a Porter really. Lovely. 150306 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 18, 2001 Mahogany colour; aroma of smoke, cascades, hint of iron; thin body - a little acidic even; metallic, mellowed malts (a little toasted caramel, whole grain bread), cascades...what precisely is the brewer trying to get at here? yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 11, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours black with a huge and creamy light tan head. Cornish and caramel malt aroma. Flavour is mildly roasted, vague berry fruity note and a mild caramel flavour. Something for a porter - not with flaws - it is just not interesting. Mild roasted finish with more toasted caramel flavours.
