keith0718 (151), Olathe, Kansas, USA Mar 26, 2008 Nice palate. That’s about all I can say for this beer. Weird for a porter. No roasty, buttery maple/caramel flavor I look for in porters. Relentlessly lingering funky bitterness. Almost a drain pour.
KnN (281), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Sep 6, 2008 Poured an opaque dark brown. Aroma was a lot of roasted malts and sweetness. Flavor was smooth. this was an easy beer to drink. Nothing terribly complex, but a really nicely crafted porter. DrDavid (207), , Vermont, USA Sep 4, 2008 (Bottle). Roasty malt aroma, touch of sweetness. Color is very dark brown, with a small tan head. Interesting taste profile, with distinct roastiness and smoke, along with malted sweetness, followed by a prolonged malty finish. And yes, the body is a bit thin. jmm635 (64), Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2008 Variety pack of Flying Dog... This is the only one that receives more than a passing grade from me. Very dark brown with a tan head. Roasted barley and chocolate on the nose. Tastes malty, again with a little chocolate coming through. Palate was very nice. Medium bodied - not as thick as I was expecting. Nice carbonation. ogivlado (2340), Zagreb, Croatia Sep 4, 2008 Rating No.2300
