More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery’s hop monster, and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses of the most hardcore of craft drinkers. 15 Plato, 60 IBU, Crystal Malt, Warrior and Columbus hops, and dry hopped with Columbus.

I have just made an all around opinion of IPA’s. i hate them all. This may be a good beer for others but really the only thing I liked about this beer was the aroma and appearance. That’s it

Bottle. A strong smell of hops, fruity and light sweet. The head is large, white and foamy- creamy. The body is dark orange. The taste is bitter with a light medical finish. The body is medium strong, creamy, later dry with a soft carbonation.

12oz bottle, best by Dec 28, 2010. Pours clear amber with a two finger white head that leaves a wall of lacing and holds a foamy island and ring. Aroma is pretty muted...a bit of citrus and some sweet malt and yeast. Flavor features some citrus and resinous hops with a fair sweet malt backbone, finishes with good bitterness, a hint of spiciness and alcohol and some residual sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. OK IPA, but there are better for the money.

12 oz. bottle, pours clear copper with a white head. Aroma of citrus hops and a little grapefruit. Flavour is mainly sweet citrus, with a touch of grapefruit, and of course, hops. A little let down with this- quite uninspired it seems.

Clear golden with just a bit of white head. Aroma is sweetly citrus, and taste is the same with a pithier red-grapefruit edge, which lasts into the finish with a hit of juice. $2/12oz

Bottle- Pours a nice copper color with a good head and lots of lacing. Looks inviting. Has a mild citrus aroma with some grain mixed in. Expected a bit more. Citrus with some malt taste. Has a nice bitterness. Has a slight metalic after taste. Fairly medium body, well balanced. No real hint of the 7.1% ABV. Not an overpowering IPA. Easy drinker, good for more than one. Well worth a try.

Served into a Flying Dog pint glass A: Amber, small white head with a small lace, no carbonation S: Faint malt, fruity grapefruit bitter T: Bitter with a sweet start, same fruitiness as the smell, astringent, crisp, piney. For me lacks a finishing flavor, medium to light bodied. I like it, would have it again but didn’t rock my world, missing a step to be an awesome beer.
