Orange golden pour from bottle. I’m told that the recipe for this beer is the same as their sister IPA (Raging Bitch), with the exception of the yeast that was used. Definitly similar in taste, with a nice, fruity, hoppy flavor.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2011 Flavor is balanced then goes to grapefruit with the expected lingering bitter finish of an IPA. It wasn’t enjoyable for me.

Clear, light orange body with a thin, creamy off-white head. Smell is fruity American hops. Smooth hoppy flavor dominated by vanilla, grapefruit and hints of pine. Some drier kinda bitterness penetrates mid-palate, lasting until the finish, which is also a bit sweet. Complex enough for an IPA, and also very drinkable. Decent beer.

I drink Flying dog Gonzon porter often, i’m used to their signature : The hop/grapefruit aromatics are so similar in this IPA ,take away the huge roast malt profile from the Gonzo porter and its SO damn similar. Toasty caramel ,oily ,resiny waterfalls.........WAy enjoyable IPA

Draft into a standard pint glass @ Prohibition Taproom. Poured a light amber with a small, one-finger head. Lacing was thin but lasting. Not a great deal of carbonation was visible. Nose was citrus (grapefruit) and pine. Taste - citrus and pine and relatively sweet malts underneath. There is some bitterness fighting with the sweetness. Mouthfeel is lighter than many IPA’s (watery?). I found this an OK IPA but without much to set it apart. It wasn’t awful but not terribly interesting either.

Bottled 355ml. -Courteso of and shared with Doggythedog who brought it from Budapest (thanks!) Golden/orange coloured, small off-white head, citric hoppy nose. Very aromatic hoppy and fruity taste with fresh and aromatic finish. Nice IPA.

Nice slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thin tan head. Very potent dry hopped aroma with a hint of malt and a lot of apricots. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive hop flavours come out with grapefruit and pine noticeable and a good malt backbone. Aftertaste shows hints of dryness and some mild sugars, but the overwhelming finish is a dry hoppy grapefruity bitterness - very nice indeed! Overall, a good beer and better than I remember the older version - definitely worth trying and having as a reliable IPA! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle after a hockey game on 11-May-2010 in Arlington, Virginia.

yellow with large white head. huge bitterness followed by a nice herbal and spicy hop flavor. very little malt character before a dry finish. overall, very nice hop flavor but too much bitterness. otherwise would be a nice ipa
