More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery’s hop monster, and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses of the most hardcore of craft drinkers. 15 Plato, 60 IBU, Crystal Malt, Warrior and Columbus hops, and dry hopped with Columbus.

Standard IPA coloring and nice effervescence from this one. Pretty standard taste, one that stacks up with my favorite West Coast IPAs.

Draft @ OBM: Small white fluffy head. Slight hazy orange. Smell some flowers, fruit (grapefruit) and hops. Taste is a fine mix of wood, fruits and hops. With hints of spices and sweets/sugars. Bit sweet, more bitter, fine aftertaste of fruits and bitterness.

Bottle. Really enjoyed this beer which gave me a great floral hoppy aroma followed by a more bitter citrus finish with good malt mixed in as well. A fun IPA for sure.

Golden, light amber in color. Clear and clean. Head gathers around the edges and leaves good lacing. Citrus hops, grapefruit, light fruity esters, and a touch of bready malt in the nose. The palate is light in body, medium carbonation, drinkable, with a long-lasting finish. The flavor is dominated by a lot of citrus hops bitterness. Some grapefruit and malty sweetness. Not too badly balanced, though. It’s certainly an assault on the taste buds!

Bottle. A clear copper pour with a decent-sized khaki head. The crisp, biscuity aroma features some caramel, rye, topsoil, and grapefruity hoppiness, but underneath it all is a foul, filthy water, wet cardboard, fart smell. WTF is that all about???? Medium-bodied. Semi-sweet biscuity maltiness upfront taste-wise. Kinda earthy in the middle. Bittering grapefruits follow with some sour lemons at the end. Finishes dry and crisp. Flying Dog has really been impressing me as of late, but I don’t know what the hell happened here.
