More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. 12oz bottle, best by Dec 28, 2010. Pours clear amber with a two finger white head that leaves a wall of lacing and holds a foamy island and ring. Aroma is pretty muted...a bit of citrus and some sweet malt and yeast. Flavor features some citrus and resinous hops with a fair sweet malt backbone, finishes with good bitterness, a hint of spiciness and alcohol and some residual sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. OK IPA, but there are better for the money.

12 oz. bottle, pours clear copper with a white head. Aroma of citrus hops and a little grapefruit. Flavour is mainly sweet citrus, with a touch of grapefruit, and of course, hops. A little let down with this- quite uninspired it seems.

Clear golden with just a bit of white head. Aroma is sweetly citrus, and taste is the same with a pithier red-grapefruit edge, which lasts into the finish with a hit of juice. $2/12oz

Bottle- Pours a nice copper color with a good head and lots of lacing. Looks inviting. Has a mild citrus aroma with some grain mixed in. Expected a bit more. Citrus with some malt taste. Has a nice bitterness. Has a slight metalic after taste. Fairly medium body, well balanced. No real hint of the 7.1% ABV. Not an overpowering IPA. Easy drinker, good for more than one. Well worth a try.

Served into a Flying Dog pint glass A: Amber, small white head with a small lace, no carbonation S: Faint malt, fruity grapefruit bitter T: Bitter with a sweet start, same fruitiness as the smell, astringent, crisp, piney. For me lacks a finishing flavor, medium to light bodied. I like it, would have it again but didn’t rock my world, missing a step to be an awesome beer.

Clear and dark yellow, good head. Aroma of pine - but not strong. More taste of pine, quite bitter, and slightly metallic. Finish is a good bitterness. A good IPA, though it’s in a crowded field of ’em.

12 oz bottle. Pours light amber, orangey with a nice fluffy tan head. Big nose of hops- floral, piny- dried fruit. Medium-full body, great mouthfeel, soft almost creamy. Taste is lots of hops, nice balance of malts, citrus note opens up and a big bitter finish. I like this one a lot, definitely worth getting again- two thumbs up!

Pours a clear orange from bottle, 1.5" frothy white head. Has that mysterious "cilantro of beer" hop to it. I have to got to identify this hop, email me if you know it. Tastes a bit bitter compared to most IPA’s and a bit watery.

12 oz bottle from a friend. Pours nice copper colour, with fine white head. Leaves nice lacing in the glass. Fairly big earthy, citrusy aroma and taste, fairly well balanced. What an IPA should be.
