More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery’s hop monster, and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses of the most hardcore of craft drinkers. 15 Plato, 60 IBU, Crystal Malt, Warrior and Columbus hops, and dry hopped with Columbus.

From bottle. Thanks to Armando, that is Gergely. Amber colour with creamy head. Oranges and black tea in aroma, oh yeah it’s Columbus alright! Flavourwise we have orange peel up front, with perfect malt sweetness. Black tea comes along with a budding, woody, hoppy bitterness, that grows on you. Solid and tasty IPA with medium body.

Not as much of a hoppy taste. Lighter than other IPAs that I have tried. Earthy aroma to it. A pretty good beer.

From a 12oz. bottle, golden, clear, white foam, lightly bitter, pretty decent IPA could be hoppier.

From the 355 ml. bottle marked 216FX10. The pour is a murky copper with about a half inch of foamy beige head and a bit of lacing. The aroma is well-hopped but also rather fruity with notes of orange. A creamy kind of mouthfeel. The taste is nice and hoppy and overall smooth. A nice IPA that is not too over anxious.

Coppery golden in color. Smells sweet and of hops. Like some other reviewers have noted, this one seemed to be too sweet for me. Would have hoped for more bitterness and less sweet from this one.

Pours golden w/ lingering white head. Lots of floating sediment. Hoppy/fruity aroma. Grassy/soapy/citrus hop flavor is forefront. Also some fruity-floral notes. Very dry but balanced nicely with some creaminess to the texture. Pretty good for the style.

12 oz. bottle: Pours copper-gold with a decent head. Peachy and floral hop aroma, slightly honeyish, metallic and soapy, but OK. The flavour is a bit too sweet and (crystal-)malty in my opinion, but nevertheless, there’s a nice, spicy and floral hoppiness which gives a soft to medium bitterness. Drinkability is good, though, some nice alcohol flavours too. Rather average IPA in my book, could be much better with a little less sweetness and a cleaner aroma.

Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Smell is dominated by floral hops. Taste is medium bitterness, hoppy. Beer has medium body, slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, it’s one of the finer single IPAs I’ve had. Very drinkable, pretty hoppy, finishes great. Pick one up, you won’t be disappointed.

Not bad. Had an orange-y tast compared to most IPA’s I’ve run into. Managed to score it on tap at a local brewpub.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines. Orange, burnt hops aroma. Flavour is crusty, dry hops - a US IPA in profile certainly, but with a belch of papery malts. Crunchy carbonation and some pepper. Too dry, not juicy enough. Lacks subtlety, class and a balancing sweetness.
