3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Smell is dominated by floral hops. Taste is medium bitterness, hoppy. Beer has medium body, slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, it’s one of the finer single IPAs I’ve had. Very drinkable, pretty hoppy, finishes great. Pick one up, you won’t be disappointed.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Not bad. Had an orange-y tast compared to most IPA’s I’ve run into. Managed to score it on tap at a local brewpub.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Stirchley Wines. Orange, burnt hops aroma. Flavour is crusty, dry hops - a US IPA in profile certainly, but with a belch of papery malts. Crunchy carbonation and some pepper. Too dry, not juicy enough. Lacks subtlety, class and a balancing sweetness.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills. Pours clear amber with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is sweet malt and tea, with some fairly faint herbal hops. Flavor is sweet malt with a really herbal hop character that is not quite assertive enough for my tastes. Average palate for style - a little short on the hop oils. Overall this beer is not bad, but really not impressive for the style.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Found out almost by accident that this is a newer recipe than the version I had in 2004. Rich dark amber with a slightly clumpy white head and lacing. Sticky hop aroma. Way better than old version! Hops front to back during and after. Just enough malt to carry the hops through the crowd. Sprucey citrus with a dash of pepper. I like it!

Tap. Malty and caramel like but not as heavy body as others. Bitterness is round and long lasting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle Pours a hazy orange amber with a thin white head. The head has average staying. Laces fairly well. Aroma is hoppy with touch of malt. Mostly pine and citrus. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is not as hoppy as hoped but okay. Blended well and a good mix of hops and malts. Has an oily texture. The body is medium to full. Alcohol is hidden well. Has a decent finish with a decent aftertaste. Decent beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
20100322 12oz bottle from Honeygo. Dark golden color with super sticky, large white head. Aroma is basic C-hops, fruity though generic yeast-malt combo. Medium bodied, prickly eff, lingering citrus pith bitterness lasts. Lots of grapefruit pith flavor, candy apple, some toffee and tea notes from the malts. Really, just a solid, pleasant, clean, basic IPA. I wish it was lower ABV because it would be an easy, cheap, regular quaff.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a orange/gold with a small white head. Aroma: pine, citrus, hops. Taste: hops and pine. Bitter finish. Body was a little thin. Overall not much going on with this brew... good enough, but more on the average side.
