COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
More cunning than a snake in the bush...Snake Dog India Pale Ale is a Colorado-style IPA, power hopped with specialty hops from the Pacific Northwest. This is the brewery’s hop monster, and the citrus fruit aroma will hypnotize the senses of the most hardcore of craft drinkers. 15 Plato, 60 IBU, Crystal Malt, Warrior and Columbus hops, and dry hopped with Columbus.

pours a light copper with solid head and silky lacing. aroma has hops, biscuit, and malt. flavor loses the hops and goes for the typical IPA- hops, grapefruit, herby taste. very nice, very drinkable, great summer beer.

Light orange color. There are hops in the aroma and flavor, but far too little hop presence for a west coast ipa. Some malt with a biscuit flavor.

This is definitely a big blast of hops right in one’s mouth, but in a good way. This is one of the better examples of this style in my opinion. The usual IPA flavors are present and bold: Hops, grapefruit, and even a little fresh marijuana. No kidding. Overall a pleasure, even for the non-hophead such as myself.

Pours copper, white head. Taste is some caramel malt and hops. Grapefruit hops. Plenty of bitterness. Good.

Pours coppery dark straw color with off-white head. Nose is resiny hops, citrus fruit, white pepper. Tastes hoppy, resiny, with floral and lemongrassy notes. Medium palate heft and not a great deal of complexity. Still, a beer I’d stock the DLBF with.

Copper color with a medium head. Some grassy and pine hop aroma. Moderate to strong bitter flavor. Quite acidic. Not a bad IPA at all.

Pours golden with sizable white head. Aroma is very floral and grassy- lots of hop aroma. Flavor is orange citrus and grapefruit with lingering resinous bitterness. Some hints of malt in there as well. Though hop flavor and character are present, palate is lacking. A bit on the watery side with not enough body to complement its hoppy nature. Tastey, but not perfect.

Clear amber with medium white head. Sweet aroma with caramel, hoppy and grapefruit notes. Flavor has caramel, hops, citric and floral notes. Ends bitter.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma of floral earthy hops with sweet malt and a hint of caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Good.

Bottle, at home with renffisch, 25th June 2008. Bright amber with a hoppy aroma, spiced up with citrus, honey and herbal notes. Very bitter but balanced with some honey flavours. Has a decent weight and a consistent flavour - not overly hoppy or over dry. Good stuff.
