| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 23, 2009 Dark Golden color pour, with a 2 finger head. Aroma = i can smell alot of hops obviously, citrus, piney, pretty clean smelling. Taste is about what I expected, starts just a little sweet then has a Big hoppy taste, although not tooooo bitter, which is perfect for me as im just now starting to come around to more bitter beers. Has a pretty good balance for an IPA i thought, but again im just getting into the style so im not experienced enough yet to make that call for sure. Overall Im liking this beer, and would drink again. dm9831 (1168), Monee, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 22, 2009 clear gold/orange color, medium off-white head, nice lace. nose of citrus, grapefruit hops, hint of sweet malt. flavor is creamy, grapefruity, piney, with a trace of underarm. medium bodied, bitter finish. nice brew, well hidden alcohol. not sure of the "hop monster" moniker in the commercial description, but respectable nonetheless. thanks to cornfield for the bottle. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 21, 2009 12 oz bottle; I’m not going to lie - this rating is totally biased considering I just drank three Kalamazoo Bell’s Hopslam (double IPA) It’s very weak compared to that obviously! So, I’ll take it for what it’s worth. When I poured the beer in my glass it looked very nice with an amber red body and a nice white head. The aroma isn’t much to talk about as it reminds me of your typical domestic lager. As for the flavor, there’s too much citrus and not enough hops for this to be an IPA. Decent beer... I like the 7.1%! Borup (1360), Albertslund, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2009 12 oz bottle from Alko. Copper color with creamy persistent head. Sweetish, nutty and berryish aroma with mild floral hops. Bittersweet, malty and toffeish flavor with firm bitterness and some lemony-flowery hops. Fruity, bitter and nutty finish. Tasty IPA on a maltier side, hop aroma and flavor is fairly delicate for and american IPA.
